Almost every insurance company can do travel insurance for you (your friends). I suggest to check a few most respectable and find out where the best price is: http://old.ingos.ru/en/private/travel/abroad/ http://www.rgs.ru/products/private_person/tour/strahovanie_turistov/generalinfo/index.wbphttp://www.alfastrah.ru/ http://renins.com etc...

register on tutjdut.com and use their emergency insurance plan
Graeme S. replied:
Just go to good Russian clinics and pay a couple of thousand roubles when you need to get treatment. Most Euro clinics are crap and no good or successful doctors would move to Russia to treat expats. Most Western doctors over here are rubbish at best!!! Medical insurance is basically useless as if you need real treatment all Euro clinics will refer you to a Russian hospital. So it is just a waste of money just to get an consultation in English!!!

Arnaud Arnaud Lecamus proposes a wide range of insurances.
Arnaud L. replied:
Dear Katerina, Allianz is good and not so expensive with my broker in comparison with them prices on web site. Unfortunately we can not propose direct payment to clinics but difference of prices is really significant.
Sophie P. replied:
Well, I disagree. The doctors at emc are really good and what I experienced from Russian clinics can still be scary, like overmedication or very poor relationnal skills. We have sigma insurance and are happy with it.

I also recommend Arnaud Lecamus, French insurance are the best :-) https://www.facebook.com/prevoyancesantemoscou/app_307679569382936

Most expats are insured here http://www.allianzworldwidecare.com Allianz has direct contract with EMC (EuropeanMedicalCentre), so no cash payment in advance = no reimbursement process. Makes life much easier. Find your tarif on the website.

Egads, no. No one would go if those were our prices:) It's about 500-1000 rubles per exam (depending on what you need, so, 10-20 bucks). Simple surgery like neutering is about 100 dollars (give or take). More pricey ones I don't know, but keep in mind a GOOD Moscow salary is like 2000USD, so, charging 5000 USD for a pet procedure would probably mean that noone would get it.
