Even at $30,000 income (single person), Good Sam will pay for 90% of the bill through Charity Aid. You have to apply for it. Take her to ER and ask for a form for financial assistance. Most likely, you will qualify for help.

FYI, all SSM-affiliated clinics and hospitals (including Good Sam) have patient assistance programs. If you’re the only income in the home and make $2 k/month you can apply for financial aid at the SSM clinic (on S. 42 nd) or the SSM medical group (at the hospital) or the actual hospital itself. Once approved it’s usually good for 6 months. Depending on your income you might be seen for free. I had a $4 k surgery 7 years ago for FREE with financial aid from St. Mary’s.

Yes try Express Care....it will cost $500 just to walk into the ER....for people without a medical card this is not an option for non emergency situations
