My husband and I are looking for a good contractor in the area who can remodel our basement. Any suggestions?

My hubby does a lot of work with John Piazza, he is great with remodels and will come out and give you an estimate. Highly recommended.

I like [Northstar](http://www.northstarstone.net) , just off the freeway at Slater road. I refill the potholes in my driveway about once every year or two. I use 5/8 ths rock and filler (basically dirt) and it comes out to about $35 for a cubic yard
Leehams replied:
Growsource is the in-town dirt/bark/gravel company. They do deliver as well. To get an idea of how much you need, lets assume a top layer of 2" thick, so 1/6 th of a cubic foot per square foot, or 1 yard per 162 square feet you need to cover. Get a little extra too, in case you end up wanting it thicker, so a good estimate is 1 yard per 100 sq.ft you want to cover.

Iverson earth works. They were half the cost of Northstar and delivered for free. Granted I got 12 yards you probably won’t need that much.

Try Home Depot - when my folks had our new 24' x 36' garage built back in the 90 s, we had to get a few loads in at varying sizes. Not sure what it'd cost or the availability of different stone-types, but they should have a decent selection of gravel sizings at the very least.
My daddy needs some recommendations for a good contractor for home repair and a good flooring company in the area!
