Jennifer W. replied:
Pope Paul Institute! Most fertility docs just start trying stuff but the PPI has a methodical way of determining the problem and using the least invasive and least expensive things first. They also have a much higher success rate.

Pope Paul VI Institute is amazing! I was able to get pregnant under their care and guidance after being told by the top obgyns in Chicago that it would be near impossible for me to get pregnant on my own. I also second Donna Huber at thirteen moons for acupuncture. She was able to get me back in balance so that I was able to both conceive and stay pregnant! If you have any questions feel free to pm me:)

Pope Paul the VI Institute to localize any potential issue non invasively, and begin taking Saw Palmetto, preferably in tincture form, if you aren't able to begin seeing an herbalist in conjunction with the institute.

I didn't have infertility. I had issues staying pregnant. I realize every experience is different but I have 3 boys due to Pope Paul. I can't in good conscience not add my experience. The staff was amazing for my 3 pregnancies frought with pregnancy complications that other doctors could not fix. I have one son, that were it not for Dr Hilgers would have died, that son was born full term and is now 9. Again this is my personal experience. For me I owe them my sons lives.
Madelyn B. replied:
I did acupuncture, chiro, and used pre-seed a great lubricant that is nice to "the boys" also heard good things about Pope Paul too! Good luck!

Check out Omaha Integrative Care. They have yoga for fertility ( which I can personally say is amazing) acupuncture, fertility enhancing massage... Wonderful place with wonderful people.

I really like Natural Health Center off of 80 th and Dodge because they do both Biomeridian stress testing and acupuncture. The Biomeridian testing can see if you have toxins, parasites, or candida all of which can contribute to inability to conceive. Energy splits can also be a problem and acupuncture like they do there is the best in town. It can be you or your partner with the issue. I'd echo what others said about the benefits of chiropractic care as well.

I also was diagnosed with poor egg quality for my age at 27, I'm 32 now. Due to financial circumstances, were were unable to continue to pursue fertility treatments and so I turned to alternative methods. Just over 1-1/2 years ago I started eating as organically as possible, what we could afford, switching out foods that I ate on a daily basis first, like apples and eggs. I switched out all my beauty products, anything that touched my body, to products that had not parabens or pthalates and I started taking a supplement called Estro Smart Plus. The supplement is recommended by a Canadian, Dr. Lorna Vander Haag. She does have a free podcast on iTunes that you can listen too. She has a lot of information on hormones. I can tell you right now that after 5 years of trying to conceive (includes fertility treatments, down time and alternative methods), I am pregnant with my first child and due at the end of July. I also had an appointment to see Donna at 13 Moons in January but had to cancel because I was already pregnant. I hope you find this helpful.

Donna at 13 Moons Acupuncture deals with a lot of infertility patients. I ended up with injectables and iui myself, even after trying alternatives, but you have to do what's right for you. Good luck!!
Jennifer replied:
Definitely schedule a visit with Donna at Thirteen Moons even if you are also seeking more standard Western treatment. In addition to acupuncture, she can recommend lifestyle changes and/or herbs/supplements that are tailored to your situation.

Dominic Cresci in San Mateo. My entire family has been going to him religiously for decades. He is the best. THE BEST!!! Also, when I say decades, that doesn't mean he's old and frail.:) He's got magic in his hands, I tell you. I see him every time I'm home from Germany. Treats chronic pain and injury as well.

I go to Dr. Nick Athens in San Carlos. A 10 minute massage always proceeds the adjustment and then therapy room after if you need it - all included in the one visit fee which is covered by my insurance. He does a lot of athletes - 49 er's etc. I've recommended him to many friends who all now go there too.
