My son and I both go to him. I was a patient at Open Door and the doctors constantly change which is like starting over every time. My son had Dr Peterson and he is a good doctor but is really difficult to g https://www.facebook.com/245868398796380 et in to see. Plus open door is just going downhill with their check in procedures. American Health Network does offer same day appointments.
April D. replied:
Meridian pediatrics has a urgent care clinic that is walk in only. And you don't need to be a patient of meridian pediatrics to be seen. http://www.meridianhs.org/Physical/MeridianHealthPediatrics/MeridianPrimeTimePediatrics

Seema Garg. She's saved my sons life. She's taken everything I've brought to her very serious and helped us get diagnosis for thing that had been happening for a while before switching to her. When he's in the hospital she comes to check on him. And she calls us herself to let us know about things.

Joann H. replied:
I wouldn't personally go to American Health Network for anything..if you have any sort of problems they want to to send you to someone in their network and everyone in their network agrees with what ever the other one says regardless....I spent 6 years diagnosed with a pseudo brain tumor just to find out I had MS...now I know everyone makes mistakes but they failed to give me the proper testing that would have been necessary in order to give the diagnosis in the first place...when I had started doubting the diagnosis I was lied to and then when I asked for a referral to a MS specialist because I started suspecting MS I was originally told if I sought a second opinion they would quit filling out my disability paperwork...So if you have any health issues at all stay as far away from them as possible...they are a joke as a whole..you might have some good doctors their but I personally didn't see one of them...now they did have a couple nurse practitioners that I liked but that was it....If you do go to them ask for specialist outside of their network....the best specialist I have found have all been in Indy..they are much more advanced and seem to be much more knowlegeable and keep up with their training to stay up to date on diseases and technology....I have found two good specialist here in Muncie and one is Mehta a pulmonologist and Silvidi a neurosurgeon. The rest of the specialist I have seen in Muncie have been a joke...Learn my my very costly mistakes...another bit of advice...if you need a MRI go to Ball....they have newer technology than Orthopedic associates or AHN...you will be stuck in there machine for about 20 to 30 minutes compared to about an hour...their Mri's are only around 3k and American Health network charged around 7.5k...I have had 15 of them since 2015 so trust me I know...lol

I take both my boys to Dr. R Byrn and i hope to take my newest as well. Last i heard he wasn't taking new patients bc he is such an awesome pediatrician! I hate the thought of having my kids go any other place. They sometimes have to see the other docs in the building if they need squeezed in and he's booked but I'm still happy with that place. I just don't like Burt.
