Dr. Pournaras is not specifically a pediatric dentist, but he does it all and is wonderful. His office is the only place I have ever heard children laughing. He has young children of his own and is the best as far as skill and as far as also being a very special and wonderful person. We see Dr. Winnie as well. Very happy with them. Although, you do wait a long time between appointments. Sometimes cleanings are closer to 9 months apart than 6. My aunt is a local dental hygienist, and she recommends Dr. Papadea as well. But I have not been there personally.

There is only one I would put my name on. Dr Winnie at Grand Strand Pediatric Dentistry on 544. I’ve been to a lot and Cameron had a traumatic dental experience and she was the only one he would let touch him. They also work with different financial situations. I know several people who use and love them.

There's a new practice opening in mid-January in Murrells Inlet. I think it's called Seaside Pediatric Dentistry. I've heard that some of the pediatric dentists are not taking new patients or have a several month wait time for an appointment.

Sawgrass pediatric dentistry in Carolina Forest (near 31). They all dressed as the tooth fairy when my son had to have his front tooth extracted after an accident. He had 2 dentists pass on him due to his severe anxiety in the chair, and Dr. Ryan was amazing!
