D id you do full allergy tests...best you do that, and than you wll be sure what is cousing allergy and straph and other bacteria are just secondary infections on allergy damaged skin. Mine is allergic to peas...i could never ever guessed that, and since removing it from his diet he has been doing very well. I never gave soy or wheat, i gave him histamins and baths, only after i got his bllod serum allergy tests back i found that along with soy and wheat, wich he never got, he is allergic to peas as well. Extra Virgin Coconut oil is great it's antibacterial and anti yeast. 1/2 tsp in food make sure it's 100% coconut oil and organic. My Daisy has never had a yeast infection..You can also put a very little on ur hands and rub in to there coat..

I get apoquel regularly from my vet. Maybe Oz is allergic to the protein in his diet. Jackson was on a raw diet for many months then the dermatologist decided to do a strict food trial and we found out that Jackson was allergic to chicken, duck and turkey. Within days of switching him to Wellness Simple salmon & Potato he completely stopped itching. He can't take Apoquel because he's on Ivermectin to keep his Demodex under control so we were very happy when we found what he was allergic to.
Ok...so can anyone suggest a good veterinarian in town...not too outrageous with price and 24 hour emergency? Nothing wrong just need a vet here in town...mine is in...

Teresa, some people don't like his demeanor, but he KNOWS what he's doing...been doing it for years and he wants you to listen and be "present" when he's talking! My dogs have always had THE BEST care with him.
