Does anyone know of any good tattoo places? Preferably in the East Bay too. And if possible, people who specialize in either watercolor or geometric shapes.

2 sprit tattoo. Everyone there is beyond talented. But they have a waiting list. Hands down the best geometric tattoos in the Bay Area. Edit: Bay Area tattoo convention is coming up near the end of October. Great place to meet amazing local artist, buy some art, or get tattooed. Oct 21-23@the Hyatt regency SFO

Look up Dillon forte in Oakland. If you want anything geometric, he's your guy.

There is a ton of amazing shops. What type of style are you looking for?

While I haven't gone to him yet, after a bunch of research on a geometric tattoo artist, I came up on Miah Waska. He tattoos somewhere in Oakland and is talented but doesn't charge an astronomical rate or have a crazy waitlist like dillon forte, ben volt, or anyone at black+blue or 2 spirit. Matt matik is another good option.

Go to r/tattoos and search San Francisco in the title. You'll find a lot of good artists that way.

There's only one person who is known for watercolor here and only once a year she selects who she wants to tattoo based on a questionnaire. I have yet to get selected and have given up on getting a good watercolor one.

Vinny Valdez at Black and Blue in SF. It's very close to 16 th street Bart. His IG handle is _vinz_ and his website is the vinz.com. His work is on another level. His shading is nuts and he is amazing at photorealistic portraits, flora, fauna, and abstract designs. Please check him out!

I'll recommend Micah Perry. He works between SF (usually out of Castro Tattoo), Hawaii, and LA. Amazingly talented and a great guy. Does a wide range of styles (did sleeves for my husband and I). If you want something extremely high quality, even if expensive and having to wait a while, hit up "Thieves of Tower" in San Francisco it's crazy cool.
