YES!!!!! Maximum automotive..see Jeremy, most honest guy! 630-357-5268..he's been great at keeping our 140,000 mile minivan alive without killing us financially!
Pam H. replied:
Yes! Recommended by our "car guy" friend, Mark: Clark's Car Care. Near rt 59 train station. Mention Mark's name, they know him and his immaculate cars!

Hennessey Ford service department. John Hennessy is a friend of ours.. Tell him you are from hometown and grew up with the panders
Jamie B. replied:
Thanks everyone. Here's the scoop. TJ's car wouldn't start today after he left Xport. We called AAA and set up a tow. In the meantime, he kept fiddling with it and it started. Cancelled AAA. Drove it to our good friend Kurt Bollnow's Amaco in Riverside. Kurt figured out that it is the starter. The car is 20 years old, (Flo's Olds Cutlass) TJ leaves for California in 6 weeks. We decided to "take the risk" and do nothing. Next time it doesn't start, we donate it to a worthy cause and TJ heads off to college!
We are looking for a good mechanic. Cartlon Auto can't get us in until we leave for iCON. Any recommendations?
Guy H. replied:
http://www.clarkscarcare.com - the best! My family and friends have brought everything from trucks, Mustangs, porches, beemers and Hondas there. They are super reasonable and honest!
Jerry E. replied:
Tom's Service Center. Right next to my school.
Ashley M. replied:
We take ours to J&R Auto in Glen Ellyn. Daryl the owner is very nice and his shop has been consistently on Angie's List for 4 years. Plus it's around the corner from Mike's moms so it was very convenient. If you go tell him we say hi... He knows both are cars too well lol
Sally S. replied:
I love GF auto on main st. It stands for God is Faithful. I've been going there for at least three or four years and they've always done a good job for a reasonable price. I knew a family living in their car and he fixed it for them for free.
SO.... Dave's truck needs front and back breaks and of course Toyota wants 800.00 anyone have a reasonable Mechanic?

Kevin M. replied:
First Choice Auto. Will only do what's needed--and will use your parts (if you are one of those people who thinks all auto guys screw you on over-pricing the parts). When NTB Meineke both said I needed front & rear brakes & rotors, he said rotors and rear brakes were not needed.
Anyone know a good mechanic that makes house calls for john Deere tractors? I need the drive belt on my tractor either replaced or put back on the pulleys...I just can't...
Brian K. replied:

We have used Jim from Our Team Auto, 25449 Ruff St., Plainfield. His number is 630 922 7307. He has worked on our cars for a long time. He is honest and will not tell you need something if you don't need it. Good luck.
Anyone do or know someone who can do body/frame work for cheap or that allows payment plans?? I did minor front end damage and my mechanic won't touch it until the body...
