New to the Lisle area looking for a gym I want a gym that's relatively cheap where I can just go for an hour or so to weight lift and then leave. I don't need any extra...

If you have BCBS health insurance, you can use the Well On Target fitness program in which you pay $25/month and get access to all participating gyms instead of just one chain. LA Fitness is part of it.

I live in Lisle as well, I just joined the Arc on 83 rd and Janes in Woodridge. $30/month and it’s never too busy.

Is that open to the public or just for students?

Grew up around here, been signed up to almost all the gyms. planet fitness sucks unless you don't care about working out and just wanna be on your phone the whole time. Lifetime is awesome and posh and costs a bit more. XSport is a great deal but it can get busy LA fitness is great and I like the way it's set up. Decent price this would be my pick Eco Gym is super expensive and the layout of the gym wierds me out. They have HIIT and infrared but not sure if it cancels out the iffy factors. The one guy I met gave me the worst gym tour I've ever had.

I go to LA Fitness next to 88 and Naper Blvd. I pay $30/mo, can bring 2 guests, and have access to any gym nationwide. I've had that deal since 2011, so I'm not sure if they still have the same. If you want to check it out sometime, you can come under a guest pass of mine. Let me know. They have free weights, machines, treadmills, bikes. Then there's a pool/hot tub, basketball court, racquetball courts, spin classes, group fitness classes. I know you didn't want extra amenities, but sometimes jumping into a class helps mix up your routine.

There is a Planet Fitness in Naperville on Ogden just west of Naper Blvd.

welcome to Lisle! my husband and i go to the charter fitness in wheaton off naper and butterfield. we're in "north" lisle off ogden though, so depending on where you're at, that might be kinda far. we do the majority of our shopping in danada in wheaton so it works for us. otherwise, there's planet fitness, anytime fitness, or blast fitness in the surrounding area.
