I just put in roman blinds at the fraction of the cost- a lot of places charge more if you don't purchase the fabric from them. I bought the roman blind kits from Spotlight and had Irina Hmelinina (in Havelock) sew the fabric for me. She does an AMAZING job!! Assembly once you have the fabric sewn is super easy. Definitely recommend this route.

I have just had some linen curtains made by Lisa Kelly Window Furnishings and they are beautiful. She is based in chch but is very reasonable and posts anywhere. she is on Facebook. would highly recommend her!
