Batch Nashville in the Farmer's Market has a good selection. Brittle Brothers' brittle is really good. Nashville Jam is nearby, too - closer than the Farmer's Market, at least. Bang Candy Company has good but very pricey house-made marshmallows.

The Farmers Market has an entire area called BATCH, with all kinds of locally (Nashville) made items including food. Turnip Truck - both locations - also have food items as does Hey Rooster on Gallatin Road.

When the Nashville charter was written, there were 2 choices, Urban or General services. Hermitage was designated General, which does not allow liquor stores. It can be changed, but would mean higher taxes.

Thanks, Becky Fowler, you're sweet! We got some from some family members. It doesn't have to be manishewitz (thankfully- that stuff is waaaaay too sweet for me), but it has to be kosher (prepared according to Jewish law and blessed by a rabbi) for religious folks. Thanks again!

I used Morgan Drapery & Upholstery last September. They were wonderful. Not in east nashville but they picked up/delivered, I'm on Russell St. Re-upholstered an antique couch for me, did a great job and had it back to me in a a couple weeks.
