Have a question for an electrician or someone in the know ..... If my electric bill is quite high (higher than it should be considering I don't leave lights on it rooms,...
Heather I forget of you live in a house or an apartment. If in apartment make sure you not in a group share and that your electricity usage is only your apartment. If you live in your own home then something fishy might be going on. Check your bill to see what they are charging you per kilowatt/hr. I renegotiated with a new service provider and got it down to 0.049/hr/kW. But the downside is that by changing provider the service charge went up from the hub center since Stream Energy is a beginning or newer service provider to this area. But my original supplier went up to 0.14/hr/kW after the first two year contract was completed. I wish you the best. How much land do you guys live on? If not in a HOA and you have the funding I would HIGHLY recommend solar panels w/ or w/out a residential windmill. Neither is large but they are more than capable of giving you more than enough juice to run your entire house. When I was doing solar energy in Germany. In Germany, their rules are that whatever a customer provides back to the grid the city/state pays a 3 to 1 ratio to the customer providing electricty back to the grid. But here in the USA, that same situation only pays 1 to 1. So if you get solar panels and/or windmill whatever extra you produce the eclectric company pays you. And you are still tied into the grid just in case you need extra power from the grid if your panels or windmil don't produce enough. Just food for thought. I'm definitely pursuing this since most folks have no idea of how feable and out of date our power system/grid is. Just a matter of time and no one wants to address because of the cost to revamp OR replace it with newer technology.

We used Miller Electric on Nederland Ave....they were very friendly, fast, and reasonable!:)
Shawn H. replied:
Mitch Macon at miller is good. They've done work for us at the store and were the lowest bid and very happy with their work.
Nick W. replied:
Miller Electric is very reasonable. They will give bids so you know exactly what the cost will be. Every journeyman electrician has an apprentice to help and teach while working.
WHATTT???? You mean the recommendation from the BISD Electrician meant nothing? What about the recommendations from the two awaiting Federal sentencing Sept. 18? ...
I want to move my washer and dryer 6 feet. I need a handyman/ plumber / electrician. I think there is also a gas connection but that could be capped we do not use it....
