Ok people, help us. We need a good pediatrician in the Central Connecticut area. I have some in mind but want to hear your recommendations!
Diane M. replied:
Robert Adamemko is Glastonbury is fabulous! Aside from great beside manner he's participated in all of the co management modules at Connecticut Children's. My cousins were in central Connecticut for a year and took their daughter to him and loved they way he connected with their daughter.

so many wonderful docs at New Britain Pediatrics on West Main St. Very well-organized practice. Can always get an immediate appt. for a sick kid. We switched after a series of egregious events and careless treatment by a doc in private practice, who had come highly reco'd.

Dr. Aruna Ramanan at UConn Pediatrics - love, love, love her! Manny had a lot of health stuff when he was little (four surgeries in CT!) and she always helped us along the way with specialist referrals, same-day appointments when he was sick (even Saturdays) and a wonderfully caring manner. I really can't say enough good things about her. Their office is right off 84 by Goldroc Diner in West Hartford. http://uconndocs.uchc.edu/Home/Physician?profileId=Ramanan-Aruna

Christopher sees my old pediatrician Dr Currao...he's amazing but since he's older he's cut his hours back so it's hard to get an appointment and you don't want that with a new baby. Dr. Foster Philips is in the building I work in. I draw a lot of his patients and all the parents say he's the best. His staff is also very nice. When our kids pediatrician retires I'm switching to his office.
Miriam G. replied:
Dr. Reidel, Grove Hill, Newington. He's been our daughters since she was a baby. Young and great family man.
Amy K. replied:

Dr. Ramirez. New Britain Grove hill. There's no one better. He's been a family doc for years. He makes you feel so comfortable and couldn't be any better with the kids. Both of mine go to him, never once had a problem. Roy even looks forward to going to see him, lol that tells ya right there.
Jason J. replied:
Dr Fromson, at West Hartford Pediatrics.
Karen F. replied:
Dr. Leslie Beal in New Britain on West Main Street. She is terrific. I worked at the Hospital with her and she was our pediatrician for 20 plus years. You couldn't go wrong with her. If she isnt available I would recommend Dr, Doug MacGilpin who Pam A. recommended. He is very down to earth and a good Doc. Congratulations. Dr Holly Frost, Grove hill medical center in New Britain. She is warm, welcoming, friendly, down-to-earth, and gives you straight-up answers and info regarding your child's health. I had her for years, and I was devastated the day she told me "You have to go see a grown up doctor now!" If I were young enough, I would still be seeing her!
