There's gotta be a better option for the covenant than Googling "mohel".....anyone have recommendations in/around Riverdale?

Dorothy Greenbaum. mohelmd@li.net (800) 600-3022. She was FABULOUS.

Most of the NYC-area mohels will travel anywhere in the area. Paysach Krohn (http://www.brisquest.com/) is probably the most prolific mohel around and literally wrote the book on the subject (http://amzn.com/0899061974). He did our second in the mid...See More

For one of my boys I used Dr. Dorothy Greenbaum. She is a mohel and a pediatrician and does a beautiful service. Very inclusive and does a good job ;)
I used Rabbi Dov Shapiro for my son, He came to the house the day before and the day after to check on my son, and he patiently sat with us to go through everything we needed to know. He was very organized and we left with a clear understanding of everything. My father was the sandek, he is a doctor, and he approved of him from a medical point of view.
Pinny G. replied:
We used Rabbi Eliezer Krohn (rabbi krohns son) a few weeks back for our son, as he is local to Passaic. However you could probably get Rabbi Fuld, ask Jonathan Dyckman for his number.
Shayna F. replied:
Ask Eli Finman. He used a great mohel for his three boys.
Steven B. replied:
Ask Michael Verschleisser he told me the mohel used was very good and quick
Esti R. replied:
Rabbi Arron Ganz in Monsey did both my boys.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Cantor Philip Sherman. www.emohel.com and his email: cantorsherman@gmail.com. He was amazing! He's also been profiled in several magazines including NY Magazine. He also believes that his work is such a mitzvot that he'll work with any budget (although his usual fee is $800, if I remember correctly). But if that's too steep, no problem at all. He tells you to put in the envelope whatever you can afford, even if it's $0 (although, I doubt anyone has ever done that, haha). Truly and amazing mohel with a gift for the work.

Rabbi Greer - one of Nachman Siegel's old friends, very nice, did Shalom's - 203-848-8706. We used Rabbi Paysach Krohn for Yosef but was more expensive (but great too!). Mazal tov!

We used Rabbi Freuitig, he was really great. He checked on the baby before the bris and after and he said to call or come over with any questions. He was sensitive and it was affordable. PM me if you still need a number!

Rabbi Shalom Richmond is great. He really cared and was available for any questions. Highly recommend! PM me for his number!

I would suggest calling up a Modern Orthodox synagogue and asking them for recommendations. Ohav Zedek is a large one on the Upper West Side. 212-749-5150

I was under the impression that in the US most don't. By why do you specifically need one who doesn't do it at all?
HistoricalPart0 replied:
Why one that won't do it at all/ever? What's wrong with simply expressing your concerns and asking for a separation to be used?
Redqueenhypo replied:
I’d personally recommend just having a trained medical professional, a doctor do the procedure. There’s a roughly zero percent chance of them doing...that and it’s guaranteed to be as sterile as possible, even if it’s not the custom
