Can anyone recommend a good local Pediatrician? Preferably one who is open minded to natural and holistic approaches too
Tania T. replied:
I didn't mention our Pediatrician was Dr. Rajan. We really liked her but she is pretty by the book and I'm not sure how "natural and holistic" you are looking for. Because all of them only see really sick children and only for the specific issue, I'm not sure how on board they would be with that approach. They are more likely to want to treat with whatever is scientifically proven effective. When my son was in intensive care, we had Dr Mulera on the days Dr Rajan wasn't on call and he was EXCELLENT!
Adam D. replied:
Dr. Mulera is amazing but like Lee-Ann said all of them are by referrals only.
Michelle B. replied:
Perhaps you could seek out a homeopath... I highly recommend Debbie Allen at Health on Earth in Aurora. She does work with children and I've taken my daughter to see her with very positive results. Just a thought.
Wanda T. replied:
Dr. Balough... referral needed
Elechia B. replied:
Dr. Lisa Klassen is by far the best doctor ever and very open to your input.
Tania T. replied:
Dr Klassen is great although not a pediatrician. I think the poster is looking for pediatrician recommendations.
Elechia B. replied:
We actually changes from our paediatrician to Dr. Klassen bc she was so compassionate with our daughter but you are correct she is not a paediatrician!
I'm expecting my first child in March. I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a great paediatrician in the area? My husband and I would greatly appreciate...

Dr Zaki in aurora Orchard Heights is accepting patients (my son and I both like her)
Stacey B. replied:

There is a new GP at Georgina Family Medical Center on The Queensway beside Shoppers Drug Mart that I believe are taking new patients and there is also a walk-in clinic there if need be.
Anyone know of a good Pediatrician in Newmarket? Last time I checked with my family doctor there wasn't one.....
Laurie P. replied:
Thank you everyone, the response is great! Referral is fine as most Pediatricians require this. I just need to find one in the Newmarket area. It seems like Dr. Mulera will be the one. I will get a referral from my family doctor or Sick Kids...which ever is needed. Thank you again everyone!!
Darlene M. replied:
My kids have seen Dr. Mulera in the past and he was a very nice doctor.
Marty H. replied:
Dr. Mulera.
Kelly H. replied:
My daughter had Dr Rajan until she was 18 and loved her...most caring doctor ever..my son had dr balough and dr mulera and they were also good
Christine W. replied:
Dr Stevens is in Newmarket... but u do need a referral.
Stacey B. replied:
My daughter's pediatrician is Dr. Mulera. He's really good and is across from the hospital.
Wanda T. replied:
DR Balough all the way.... he is amazing! We were with Dr. Donald Stevens and left without notice... He over medicated my son (thank god my family dr was available), and was never available when needed as always on some sort of vacation! Just my opinion!
Adam D. replied:
Dr. Mulera is by referral only as well. I think her original question was are there any pediatricians in Newmarket that aren't by referral only. If that's what you were asking then unfortunately no they all need a referral, but the good thing is if you...See More
