My parents have used [Azumano](http://www.ciazumanotravel.com/experts/west-coast/index.php) for booking cruise ship vacations for themselves. They've been happy with their travel service agent Rena Harris and the cruises. They do most of their communication through emails and phone calls to her. However I haven't seen them get any special perks or services through the travel agency that I didn't have access to by booking directly with the cruise line. I actually think it was easier, cheaper and less hassle booking directly than it was going through a travel agent but to each their own I guess.

My family went on a cruise last year and my sister ended up using an agent (her boyfriends mother suggested it). They ended up spending an extra $600 on just their flights. I shudder to think what her hotel cost. Not to mention the travel agents fee on top of that.

My mother-in-law booked a cruise for 8 family members through AAA. I couldn't give you details on deals, etc. but we did end up with $50 room credit per person for some reason or another. Also, if you want a less touristy area of Florida to relax away from crowds, check out the stretch between Melbourne Beach and Vero Beach. It's the least developed part of the coast and it is very nice.
I've been looking at some cruises for Drew and I to take next year. They look like so much fun!! Has anyone been on a cruise and recommend a ship or destination?

I hear Alaska cruise is great but you have to research what time of year is best. Puerto Rico is a nice stop too. We've been on 4 Royal Caribbean cruises all different ports. We took one Carnival but wasn't satisfied with ship.
