We had a leak between our meter and house. South West water advised to look for any patches of grass that have randomly grown quicker than the rest of the grass and random patches of flowers ie dandelions arc that were not there before. That's how we detected ours. Then called http://www.rdwaterengineers.co.uk/ They were brilliant and very reasonable price wise I think
