Claire H. replied:
There are 2 doctors surgery's in Newquay, narrow cliff and Newquay health centre
Jodie C. replied:
Louise Gore is brilliant for swimming lessons x
Sarah C. replied:
I live in Trevarrian and I go to the Petroc surgery in St Columb, it's closer than Newquay and easier to get to, very friendly surgery ☺️ Good luck with the move, I've only been here two years but absolutely love it! Xx

Swimming... There's a club at Retallick and one at Fitness 4 U.. Couldn't tell you what they are like however these were highly recommended to me recently as I'm looking to start my daughter in lessons in the new year. We also use the Petroc Group practice doctors in Padstow or St Columb. Dentist we use one in the centre of Newquay on Grosvenor Road but can't for the life of me remember the name...! We're NHS patients and unsure if they're taking any more on but so far the dentist and staff here have been great to us. Finally welcome to the area
Poppy H. replied:

I have been on the waiting list for 2 months now, I phoned them 2 weeks ago to get an update and they said the list hasn't really moved and the nearest NHS dentist to Newquay is Torpoint. This was the generic list for Cornwall xx
Stephen H. replied:
The waiting list system works fine, plenty of people get placed - 01872354375 is the number to call and you can pick and choose areas.
Abz F. replied:
I was on the waiting system about 6 years with no luck. I found my own by ringing around. I know there is a dentist on Lemon Street in Truro taking on but maybe a tad out of the way for some. Definitely worth making a list of NHS dentists and calling them directly xxx
When my daughter had a fall and damaged her front teeth we went to Aand E Newquay first and they sent us to Bodmin, found this number on the paper work they gave us, worth a try :-01872354375 and the advice line number quoted is :- 01726627990
Does anyone know of any dentists taking on NHS patients please Thanks :-)
Hannah C. replied:
Unless anything has changed since the beginning of May, there are no dentists in the whole of Cornwall accepting new NHS patients at the moment (according to the email I received from the NHS Access Dental Helpline). Which is shocking. Their advice was to get on the waiting list as soon as possible and wait for a place somewhere to become available. Their number is 0333 0063 300.
Nicky R. replied:
Atlantic dental along from the zoo have always been on a par with NHS prices. We swapped to them years ago when our NHS dentist in Truro went private.....if we had to pay we'd rather stay local than have to travel was the thought.
Nicky P. replied:
12 m-18 m waiting list. You have to phone 03330063300. Just done it to register my family. They put you on the list and when a dentist has space they will ring you
Can anyone recommend a good, understanding and gentle dentist in Newquay or Truro please
Thanks

Thank you for your vet recommendations. However, just realised I should have put family first! Best doctors and dentists please. Any to avoid please pm me. Porth area....

Narrowcliff may be nearest, but try to get in at the Health Centre in town. It's further, but I have a lot of issues with Narrowcliff. And yes, Gentle Dental is your best bet.

https://www.mydentist.co.uk/dentists/practices/england/south-west-england/st-austell/st-austell-dental-centre This is the same company as Grosvenor one in town. I'm sure when we passed it the other day I noticed the sign saying about NHS patients also. I'm desperate to see a dentist too. Had a giant hole in one of teeth for months. Hope you get sorted asap. Lorna popped over earlier and mentioned what happened. Nothing worse than that. Fingers crossed
