Covington Jewelry was started by my grandfather, Lloyd A. Alexander and was then run by my father, Tommy Alexander. He moved it off the square over on the land he bought on 278 in the 1990 s (I think). After he died in 2000, the jewelry store and monument shop closed up soon after.
