Talbots rocks my socks off. J. Crew has great sales and offers student discounts, but they're crappy for the busty ladies -- though their sweaters and layering pieces are still great. May I recommend staying away from the traditional suit and opting for the dress + blazer combo? Gray dress + black blazer + pearls = the most perfect combination, and it allows you to avoid weird things like waistbands and the perpetual "tuck or untuck" problem.

I remember Boden! I second Boden. While I tried to embrace my curvy femme life once, I really hated it to the depths of me. I wore Boden A LOT. A-Line dresses were always a cruel joke for me [if they had an empire or otherwise waist].

I rarely buy suits, but I second Talbots and Nordstrom Rack. When I did need to wear suits, those were places I went. What I find harder than the suits, actually, is finding nice shells for underneath. I like stuff with little sleeves in case I want to take off the suit jacket. Now, I'm a teacher, so clogs and a cardigan are tots acceptable

What a wonderful story. If only we had a politician like Justin Trudeau who could lead our country into outcomes like this.
