We use The Learning Experience and absolutely love them! My daughter currently attends. I am a teacher so naturally I loved that they have a curriculum to teach reading and writing to little ones.

I used CARE.COM

It is definitely normal to question your decisions. My daughter has been at The Learning Experience since 4 months old and we've been very happy and my daughter is almost 3 now and always happy and smiling when we pick her up.
Danielle O. replied:
Not sure if this is too far (near Meckauer Park in Bethel) or if she has any openings but Robyn Grosvenor Trask of Spoonful of Sugar is fantastic! My daughter went to her for the past 2+ years and I only took her out because it was time for preschool. Feel free to PM me if you need more info.

Try Merryhill Child Care on Queen St. Both my kids went there and loved it. It's a small center and the staff is wonderful. Really the next best thing to family!
Hi Moms! I am looking into daycare options for the fall and was wondering if there are any home-based daycares in Sandy Hook that anyone could recommend?
Monica M. replied:
Check out 211 childcare.org. They have listings for all providers (centre or in-home). The listings are only for licensed and certified providers, FYI. The site is run by the United Way of CT.
Hi all! Pregnant first time mama here due in November. Looking for in home day cares in the Monroe or Newtown areas. Would be looking to start daycare in January. Thanks!
Cyndi G. replied:
Merry Hill in Newtown: it's not in home but the next best thing to family. The center is small and the ladies there are wonderful beyond words.

I love Cyndi's Little Wonders. 203-240-9138. She is in Newtown not far from Stop and Shop
Monica M. replied:
Heidrun Morgan. We adore her.
Sandra M. replied:
We love Little Explorers. My youngest had been there for the last three years, and my older daughter was there for a year before she aged out. The staff is well-trained and very hands-on. They've lived our girls like family, and I've always felt confident and comfortable leaving my girls in their care knowing they were in a fun and loving environment.

I use a great home daycare near downtown Bethel, called Sunshine Daycare. The owner Joyce is incredibly patient and just amazing with kids. We've been going there for 5 years now. PM if you want more info.
Does anyone know of and good day care places in Newtown, CT? I have just started the search and want to make sure we choose a great place for our almost 5 month old....

The Learning Experience is AMAZING!! Would have sent G there but they only offer full time rates for infants and we only wanted part time.
