I don't know if he comes to Noblesville, but Joe Talbert is great. Repaired our furnace (when others said we should just get new) and installed our heat pump. Very happy with his work. 317-509-1602

Thank you all for your recommendations. +1 for social media and trusted friends helping to find a good repair service. FYI: Per my neighbor's recommendation, I called Rod Harris at Harris Heating & AC. Down to earth guy and totally honest. Replaced the motor capacitor (~$200 w/labor) and it's all back! He did tell me I'm on borrowed time with the age of the whole unit but he said I may get a little more time with the new capacitor. Said most other big HVAC companies would call it condemned, blaming a blown compressor and tell the owner they won't do anything but replace it with a new unit (~$3 k). Then they'd also say that they'd recommend replacing the furnace (another ~$3 k) since it probably wouldn't be "compatible" with the new AC unity. That too wouldn't be true in some cases. HIGHLY recommend Rod Harris to anyone needing an honest, down-to-earth HVAC professional. His info: Rod Harris, Owner of Harris Heating & Air Conditioning. 106 Fox Circle Noblesville IN 46060. Homesense Heating & Cooling is locally owned and is a great company. They put in the unit at Shyla's on Memorial weekend and gave a great price. But many times they go into a house and help you keep your unit going and don't try to up-sell you when a simple fix will get you through. I recommend Brian (the owner) or Brad... 317-670-0171.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I did end up calling Ted from Integrity and they showed up within an hour of my call! Turned out the furnace flame-sensor thingy needed cleaning. They did a great job and am very pleased with their service...Now, it's MY turn to highly recommend Ted & Ryan...You can find them at www.integrityhomehvac.com --- I will certainly use them again!
Anyone in Noblesville/Fishers area know of a reputable HVAC guy? Furnace is down for the count! :(

I've replaced one and repaired another ... a few times. haha. It might be very easy. Check if the glow plug first. They are super cheap. Less than $20 and some like $7. They are as easy as turn off the gas at both points (outside and inside), turn off the fuse for the furnace. Replace the plug - usually a single screw and easy plug / unplug. Turn it all back on and go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEcJe60 oQlk
