Danielle Semerad Bahama Breeze is closest to the theater where we're going. I noticed the black bean burger and wondered if it was vegan. Thanks for answering that question! I wonder if I can get it on the Cuban bread and whether the Cuban bread has lard in it. I'll email to inquire...
Legal Sea Foods at the mall has a one vegan item vegetarian box (consists of asian flavored stir fried vegetables, brown rice, thai red coconut curry sauce, tofu, and cashews)

Capital grille is great, blackfish in Conshy, Savonna in radnor, Mediterranean grille in bryn Mawr, southern cross in Conshy, never had a bad meal at Spamps. Also William penn inn has a very affordable menu half the price of capital grille and great quality. Coyote crossing. If you like awesome sushi and don't want Spamps Margaret kou is awesome
Jenn M. replied:
Fayette Street Grille is BYOB and fixed prix and yum. Capital Grille and Del Friscos in Philly are excellent. I can't remember the name but it you like Italian, there is a place in South Philly that is good and the staff sing opera, that would be different and neat.
Frank F. replied:
Caruso in Souderton is a great BYOB Italian, and more local to you - Stone Rose in Conshohocken is a nice casual place for you 2 to get out. Stephen & I love Damon's in Manayunk, and if all else fails Crown Fried Chicken!
Joe O. replied:
If you want fancy and go all out go down town either Del Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - Philadelphia or Barclay Prime in Philadelphia no disappointments from either...
Does anyone remember the original Tavern Restaurant in Bala Cynwyd? My uncle Tom, from Co Tipperary was a waiter there. Later, it became a place to "meet" other...

The New Tavern is my elderly mom's favorite restaurant. Looks pretty much the same inside. If you want to see a crowd, go before 6.

The Everharts had the mounted trophy heads primarily in the bar area. Bing Miller, one of the best baseball players who isn't in the Hall of Fame, worked there as a maître-d in the late 50's and 60's. He asked my father if he could take me to a Phillies game and with permission I went to my first baseball game. bing took me to virtually every home game for five years where I learned the game from a legend.
Frances H. replied:
I think The Tavern is open and running again. I looked up their website. Is that right?
Alfred A. replied:
If you're talking about The Tavern on Montgomery Ave., it's still open. I was there a few wks ago. "Boss-Man" is a tall, Greek guy (I think). And most of the clientele appears to be elderly. Not many young people in there, other than maybe at the new-ish bar area.
