Dr Daycare South County is so wonderful! Just opened and the teachers are the best. We get a DHS subsidy for our foster child and it was no problem (thanks John!).

Hi Robyn.. I used Ann Garrison..she is a fantastic, licensed home day care located off school street on Rosemary Drive..I am not sure she has openings but worth a phone call. My boys and I love her! If you check optionsforworkingparents.com it should list all licensed day car providers in your area as well

Sunshine child development in quonset is one of the few 5 star bright star rated preschools in the state. I would recommend them if you need full day, or the Fishing cove public preschool (4 star rated) if you only need a half day program (it's less than half the price of sunshine and has seasoned, highly qualified staff ) I am a teacher and have worked at both locations. If you need more information on other local preschools, they are rated by brightstars.org

We live in North Kingstown but chose to send our daughter to Monsignor Clarke School in South Kingstown. After visiting SEVERAL public and private schools, we felt they had the best of everything: Excellent academic programs with a state of the art science lab, foreign language beginning in Kindergarten, rich art/music/drama programs with numerous stage productions per year, and an unbelievable team of dedicated teachers and staff. There is always something fun happening at school which I think keeps the kids happy and motivated. It's a wonderful community environment where families are encouraged to get involved. Before and after school care is available on-site and the pre-k program begins at age 3. Town busing to the school is provided by North and South Kingstown, Charlestown, Westerly, and Exeter. And before you ask, no I don't work for the school:)

The Child Development Center at URI is awesome. I think it starts at 3 y.o. and there's a wait list. We also liked Sunshine near the Seabees museum.

New Generation Gymnastics offers as little as a 1/2 day up to 5 full days 9:00-3:00 all summer long. (Only $170 for a full week!) It's not a gymnastics camp - it's camp with some gymnastics.
