You can also search this group page; requests for dermatologist suggestions have come up frequently. Since you specifically mentioned lasers, Valerie Tokarz at Dermatology Professionals in E.G. Her experience that area is hard to beat. I've also been going to dermatologists since I was an adolescent, seen them in 5 states, and she's been the best. http://dermri.com/valerie-tokarz-d-o/

Does anyone know a dermatologist that will see me without having to wait 2 months? Doesn't have to be in NK, I'll go anywhere. I have a spot on my cheek that I'm pretty...

I go to Stephanie Dadario, a PA in Dr Ellen Frankel's office on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston www.riskindoc.com. She does a thorough skin check for me every year. Good luck!!
Danielle I. replied:
Dr. Dyer in the South County Health Building on South County Trail (his PA is excellent too.)
Carol P. replied:
Yes, Linda Luz. If it is questionable, go to a Walk-in. Dr Gloor would have a good look at it very soon.
Joan P. replied:
I was just handling an appt of mine at Dermatology Professionals & asked if any of their docs are taking new patients. Yes, there are 3 or 4 taking new pts by fall, so in the meantime, make an appt w/ someone there so you will have a permanent dermatologist & if you can't wait til fall, go to a walk in if you think it's suspect now - they could always refer you sooner if needed I think. Also, keep your eyes on the paper for upcoming beach skin cancer events, they do the screening right there. You just missed one on Saturday in Newport. But there are usually several scattered at the state's beaches throughout the summer. FYI Basal cells tend to grow slowly, but you can't be sure what type it could be.

Call Dr. Laura Della Torre. She is on 1500 Pontiac Ave, Cranston. across from Dept. of Labor and Training. 401-490-2929. Very good doctor. I used to work with her. Can get in faster than any Dermatology office. (Use me as reference)
Valerie Tokarz at Dermatology Professionals on S. County Trail. I've been seeing a dermatologist since I was 10 and she's one of the most thorough I've seen. I know a few people that also like Caroline Wilkel. She'll be moving to the same practice in March, her current practice is in the process of closing as her partner is retiring.

Dr Dyer's office is great, you can get in relatively quickly and everyone is very nice. I would avoid Dr. Pedvis, she is impatient and has no bedside manner. She was downright rude to me when I asked her a question and she told me that was not what I scheduled my appointment for.
