Ok CoT residents. As we have just moved here, it's time for us to find a local primary care physician, since Jamestown is rather far to travel to for a sinus infection....
Wendy P. replied:
We go to Dr. Richard Castaldo on River Rd.
Katie B. replied:
My son goes to Tonawanda Peds with Dr. Braun...they are attentative and always make us feel special...The adults in our house go to Highgate Medical on Youngs Road in Williamsville...great hours and they can always fit us in!
Mindy G. replied:
Dr Mary Beth lopat winter at Tonawanda pediatrics. She's been my twins nd since birth (they are now 9). Love how down to earth she is. If I couldn't have her, I would go with Dr McDonald (Deanna I think) same practice. They have same day appointments, a nurse line, a walk in clinic. Highly recommend it. Great staff too.

I really like Lifetime Health on Sweet Home Rd. It's so nice having everything at one place. Labs, x-Ray, pharmacy, primary care and behavioral health. One stop shop and all the MD's and PA's have provided great care
Sherrie A. replied:
My children go to Wheatfield Peds on nfblvd! They are the greatest with our kids! They have late hours too. We normally see Dr. Lisa she has not only bedside manner as they call it she is also a people person. Always greets the kids by their name without looking at the chart. (we typically only go for well check or if sick which is rare) 716-807-7337 is their # if needed
Hello,
We are looking for a new pediatrician. Anyone have an exceptional pediatrician they would like to refer? Thanks! Enjoy the beautiful day :)
Sandra D. replied:
Dr. Kaufman at Buffalo Pediatric Associates is excellent.
Amelia I. replied:
Doctor Pepe. 716-565-9030. 8643 Sheridan Drive in Williamsville. She's awesome.
Natalie H. replied:
Wheatfield Peds...
Amber K. replied:
Williamsville pediatrics is what I used to go through. Dr. Denise Sokolofsky is AMAZING..She used to work here in North Tonawanda. It is a bit of a drive, but is a very nice facility and well worth the children being comfortable with their doctor !
Kim B. replied:
Wheatfield Peds!!!!
Megan M. replied:
Sunrise Peds on North Bailey. Have been with them for 13 years thru 3 kids!! They are wonderful
Jackie J. replied:
Another vote for Wheatfield Peds! We've been there since we moved here in 2004 and absolutely love them!
Terry F. replied:
Dr Marybeth Lopat-Winter@Ton Peds. She was my daughter's doctor & she now takes her little guy to her. Fantastic with kids & parents
Jon S. replied:
Wheatfield peds. Dr Jobes!
Chris C. replied:
Dr. Amy Braun at Ton. Peds. is also excellent.
Brooke K. replied:
I don't agree about Dr. Amy Braun. She is the reason we left Tonawanda Pediatrics because my son almost died at one year old in her care.
Jeanette M. replied:
Dr. Joel Snitzer at Sheridan Pediatrics. My girls have been with him since ages 2 and 3. They are now 20 and 21 and he will still see them if they are sick and cannot get into their primary care doc's office soon enough. GREAT doctor!
Brooke K. replied:
Yes Steve, if we hadn't ignored Dr. Braun and gone to the emergency room, he would have died. We were in the hospital for a week.
Patty D. replied:
Dr. Lopat-Winter,Tona Peds. We've been going there with our kids for 17 years now.She takes the time and gives the care your child deserves, and does not rush your visits,She will listen to any concern you have about your child.I will only see her with my children, unless I have an urgent,or where the kids are sick,I will see someone else,if she is not available. Amherst ~East Robinson office691-3400,and they have evening and Saturday hours, along with a walk in clinic in the morning,if you can't wait to see someone during regular hours. Great place for your kids.
Colleen W. replied:
Not too many of us around here can really afford "exceptional" but Tonawanda Pediatrics (Dr. Lopat-Winter) is surely the next best qualified.
Daniel W. replied:
I 2 nd Wheatfield pediatrics. http://www.wheatfieldpediatrics.com/
Sandy H. replied:

Dr Joe and Dr Doug at Wheatfield pediatrics. My boys went there and now my grandsons go there. Wonderful doctors.
Julia D. replied:
Dr. Lopat-Winter@Tonawanda PEDs. She's awesome and really great with kids.
Pete H. replied:
We don't care for Dr Braun either. She was a bitch to girlfriend from day one.
Hilary W. replied:
Growing up I had Dr. Lopat- Winter ans my boys have her too now. If I didn't like her they wouldn't be seeing her lol
Terry J. replied:
I go to kenton family care on 2 mile my hubbys dad mom 4 brothers and our 2 son's all see/had seen Dr. Samra
In search of new pediatrician and dentist. Any referrals greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Melissa P. replied:
Also Sunrise Pediatrics on Bailey (behind Target near Post office) is great, they are a small practice, sometimes we wait a little while because they are SO thorough with each patient, but it's worth it knowing the will spend that kind of time on us as well. Dr Sasankan and Dr Klocke are both amazing.
Mindy A. replied:
Dr. Marti Peterson (Just 4 Me Pediatric Dentistry) in Getzville for dentistry, and Sunrise Peds in Amherst. Sunrise Peds is super homeschooling friendly and dr's are open to alternative / delayed vax schedules, breastfeeding, cosleeping, etc, etc.
Melissa P. replied:
Winning Smiles Pediatric Dentistry on Sheridan (in Amherst) is where we go for dental! Found them when we moved here 5 years ago and have never gone anywhere else we love them!
PD P. replied:
Dr. Bartels, Dr. Johnston, and Arcara(NP) are great. They are homeschooling friendly. They do take the time to listen to your concerns. They are at Lifetime Health Amherst Campus. University Pediatric Dentistry on Maple Rd is great. It is in the same building as the Pediatric Urgent Care Center, which is also excellent. It is at the NW corner of Maple Rd and Ayer Rd.
Lynda S. replied:
We also like Winning Smiles. We go to the same office as Melissa. We all go to a family practice doc so I don't know of a pediatrician. And we have been to the Pediatric Urgent Care and that's the only place I'd probably go for an after hours urgent issue with my guys. We are Young Living oilers, don't do the flu vac or any optional vacs, and are nutrition and holistic based and in my experience our family practice is respectful and has never been pushy so we really like them. Before we had insurance we went to Dr. Mary Beth Dunn on Werhle and loved her but I don't think she takes insurance at all? We just paid cash with her but she was always fair, and honest and did a great job.
Kathleen B. replied:
I use East Aurora Peds (love Dr. Gupta) and University Ped Dentistry in EA.
Johanna B. replied:
Love Amherst Pediactrics!
Mindy P. replied:
Winning Smiles Rocks! No Joke they are over the top good. I went to 7 yes 7 dentist in 11 months. They where the only ones that could get my son IN THE CHAIR! My other son asked if he could switch to Winning Smiles and the dentist noticed things his old dentist did not. He told me to get him in braces asap even though he is only 11 because of his crowding issue. Said it was his only way to keep all his adult teeth as he got older.
Lynda S. replied:
I love that Mindy said that since our old dentist said both our kids "definitely needed braces" and we moved here and Winning Smiles said they really didn't think either of them would...older one (12) doesn't younger one (8) we will see but they don't think so. So obviously they aren't a place that says, "everyone needs braces" either. My kids are not afraid of the dentist at all but I could see it being great for kids who are...they are so personable and fun there.
Mindy P. replied:
We go to the one at 3364 Southwestern Blvd. Orchard Park, NY 14127 They gave Gabe Laughing gas $40 extra and he can watch a movie (tv mounted on ceiling over chair) and has head phones so he can not here them talking or the tools. He is never alone. They all wear ear piece walkie-talkies so there is never a reason to step out. That was always the point Gabe would come unglued, when he was left alone in the room. He also freaked over the sound of the sucking thing. A great place for kids with Autism, downs, ADHD, or any issue.
Rachel A. replied:
We love Winning Smiles also! We started out at the Amherst office and now go to OP (still with Dr. Mike). My daughter had really severe medical office anxiety (like, she bawled when I got my BP taken at my prenatal appointments...) and needed quite a bit of dental work done. They were really fabulous with her and have been so supportive all along the way. The whole staff pretty much knows her and her history and they all make sure to cheer her on and congratulate her for how well she does there now!
Crystal V. replied:
Dr. McClure is my dentist. I'm a baby when it comes to dental work and he not only tolerates me but looks forward to seeing me. His dental hygienist is the best (if she ever moves, I'll get my teeth cleaned wherever she goes). If you don't like long needles, Dr. McClure can even do anesthesia injections that are much shorter than the lidocane type needles. He has a nice sized parking lot at 2000 EGGERT RD BUFFALO, NY 14226. His number is (716) 886-1166
Cathy K. replied:
We love Amherst pediatrics, as well. The dentist we go to to Dr. David Croglio, he is in Snyder. He and the hygienists are great with both the kids. Both offices are great!
Anyone know a good family doctor. I tried to make an appt with mine, and the first opening is Oct 11th. Too bad Sam's pediatrician cant see me...you get sticker after...
