Do I ever! I moved to Victoria a decade ago, and am sad every time I bring my car into someone here. When I would bring my old civic into him, I never felt I was getting ripped off, and I always felt great about the price he was charging me (I have a good level of mechanical aptitude, so I can judge). I was on a road trip through Vancouver, a few years after moving to the Island, and was having electrical issues, and managed to limp my car to his shop. He spent an hour working on it, made a temporary fix, and told me what I needed to do - and didn't charge me - even after I said 'you need to let me give you something'. He specializes in Japanese cars, the only down side is, he's kind of out of the way. His shop is always jammed full of customers' cars, I just can't say enough about him. My mom recently started going to him, finally took my advice after getting ripped off by too many mechanics, and she now happily makes the drive to have her car serviced by Oscar.

He'll tell it like it is and loves to talk shop. Great contact to have, especially if you like to talk about cars. Reasonable rates, consistently good service, no strange charges and always seems to go the extra mile.

My brother in law used to be a mechanic for Honda until he hurt his back. He does part time car repairs in his home. Let me know what you want and I'll pass it to him to quote you. He'll give you choices for the prices. He's in Coquitlam, near IKEA.

Westwood Honda in Port Moody has always been excellent to us. 1. They don't BS or upsell you on stuff you don't need 2. They are honest about when certain parts need to be replaced (ie. what can be put off for later). 3. The prices are reasonable.

Not Honda specific, but if you're in North Van I would check out Marci Automotive behind Cap Mall. Super friendly mechanics and the prices are ridiculously reasonable.

Are you looking for someone on the North Shore? My next door neighbor does all my work and he's right behind Canadian tire on Crown street. The shop is called Crown Automotive and he's the owner and his name is Brian. If you give him a call and explain what is wrong he'll get you to bring the car in for sn estimate. He's very fair and truthful. He's even let me pay in a few installments when I couldn't afford the work all at once. He's a good guy. Just tell him you know me from school and that I told you to give him a call. Just say, Monique Gibson your neighbor told me about you so he pieces it together. That's my place I go.... hope that helped you some:)
