I've been have been having my vehicles serviced and repaired at Abdon's in Quincy since I got my first car 12 years ago, my parents have been going there for 35+ years. Jimmy Abdon, the owner, is an amazing mechanic, works quickly and prices jobs fairly. He's also one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. http://www.yelp.com/biz/abdon-auto-repair-quincyhttp://abdonauto.com/abdonauto.com/Abdon_Auto_Repair.html

Can recommend Hyde Park Spring and Brake. Know an employee and owner. I live further south and have recently gone to Home Towne Auto Shoppe in Easton and was happy with their service.

be sure to get an alignment after the tie rods get replaced. are you doing the inners, outers or both? either way i don't expect more than 2 hours labor for both sides

Search on car talk's website. Mechanic Files. Hasn't let me down yet. If you're near Pembroke I would recommend Mike Barbour. A little gruff but he'll set you straight.
My beautiful 2004 Mustang GT needs a brake job. Any suggestions on a good, honest mechanic/shop in BV, or at least, on the south side of Milwaukee?
Thanks!

Tony G's Grant Park Garage in South Milwaukee!!!!! Just learned of them through my neighbor. I also needed my brakes done. Had gotten a previous estimate of $636 to replace the front brakes only. Called Tony, explained what I needed done. A day later I had new brakes and rotors installed on my front wheels, the back brakes cleaned and aligned AND a new air filter installed for $345! I've been telling everyone! He was awesome, I'm happy with the work and couldn't believe the cost difference!
Does anyone know of a good but fairly affordable mechanic?? I've about had it with my car, I have a 2008 Pontiac Vibe and my heat shield on my exhaust is rattling (like...
