My BF is a mechanic. Works at C&D tire in Knoxville. He does a lot of side work. Working on a Honda right now. (actually waiting on parts). Mark Douglas548-3962
Laura B. replied:
My BF does it on the side as well. Hit him up, and if he can't fix it relatively fast and inexpensive, he will at least be honest about what's wrong with it. Some things can't be done without a shop! David. 208-8080
Michael R. replied:
Not sure those two words go together Melisa....this coming from a 62 year old with ASE Master Mechanic certification. Good Luck!

I'd recommend RT Clapp. http://www.rtclapp.com/ They're on the Turnpike and have always been wonderful for me.
Diane L. replied:
I like Ultimate Auto off Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville. They may not be the cheapest, but they are honest and won't do unnecessary work. And what they do, they do right. Tri-County is pretty good and so is R.T.Clapp in Oak Ridge. I don't know about their Knoxville location. M&W at Elza Gate wins for highest customer satisfaction in a lot of surveys. I've had mixed luck with them. Eddie Hair and R.T.Clapp are both good with working with you to do what you can afford and telling you what is most important. GOOD LUCK.
Are there any reliable honest mechanics in oak ridge that will do a check up on my car just to make sure evrything is ok?
April T. replied:
