And you're right. If asked about nail salons I'll recommend TN School of Beauty. I don't know anyone connected to the school. I used to go to S Nail and had wonderful service there. I haven't insulted or cast stones at anyone or any salon. I stated my preference and why. A person asked for recommendations. I gave mine. This isn't my thread, and it isn't about me. It's about letting people know what salons you like, which is what I did. Watch the 20/20 show about how dangerous it is. My opinion is just that, mine. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, or trying to get anyone to stop using their favorite salon.

I love Five Star Nails next to Methodist Therapy Center, across from hospital. LOVE THEM!

Fashion nail spa near Starbucks. Michele is the best there. Regular fill in is $18. Gel Polish is $20 just for polish $25 for gel manicure

Cleanliness is my top priority so I recommend TN School of Beauty. All instruments are sterilized or used once and thrown away. I don't like the idea of nail files or pumice used on someone else's feet then on mine. It's not that far away, near where Oak Ridge Hwy turns into Western Avenue. The students are well trained before they can work on you and the best sanitization is used, unlike MANY nail salons. Because they're students, they have the most up-to-date training and really enjoy what they do. Their grades depend on doing a great job on you. EDITED.

There aren't any around or that I've ever heard of that specialize in only kids. Massage Envy has packages that would make for a great afternoon for a kid though.
