Imagination Station. 1 year old is 132/wk, but at 18 months they go down to 115 then at either 2 or 3 it goes down to 110 a week. Open m-f 6:30 to 6. Right outside city limits going to Clinton. They are amazing! My oldest has been there since she was 2 and my youngest since she was 6 weeks and have not had a single problem from them. 456-3903. No waiting list!

Oak Ridge Nursery School is a great program. Both of my kids have attended there. My youngest is still there. They take kids from 12 mo to kindergarten. They are open monday-friday 7 am - 6 pm. Depended on your child's age will decide the monthly amounts. Younger kids require more so it costs more. But the price goes down as they grow up. I am pretty sure there are openings available in all the age groups. Call the school for exact prices 865-483-3036 ask to speak to the director. Her name is Donna Monger Warren.

Our daughter loves Emory Valley Early Learning Center. If you work in Knoxville, Goddard School off of Pellissippi is very good, but pricey.
Where is the best place for affordable child care? Preferably some place that has staff with a lot of patience and able to deal with a challenging child lol.
Lisa E. replied:
Please call me at 865-483-3036. I am the director at Oak Ridge Nursery School. We have been in business over 70 years. We work on the development of the whole child. We have happy, well cared for children!
Emily B. replied:
Child care in Oak Ridge is difficult, as there are not many facilities. There is a new one, https://www.facebook.com/1621231048146149Blossom Center for Childhood Excellence, Inc., but I am not sure what the rates are. Good luck!
Emily B. replied:
Also, the last I heard, https://www.facebook.com/245898912107768 Emory Valley Center had some openings. (There is a child care facility associated with EVC, although it does not seem to be linking up correctly.)

If your child is 1 and potty trained.... Check out Oak Ridge Nursery School on robertsville road. Great school. Talk to Lisa Errett

Kern Methodist offers a great morning camp "Camp Faith" on Tues and Thurs. It's from 9 am - noon. I think it is $70.00 for the entire session (summer) they also give multi child discounts. My littles have gone there for the past 2 summers and will attend again. Ask for Chanda Knight. If you are looking for something longer First United Methodist also has a fabulous program.
Val C. replied:
If you have a school age daughter Girls Inc is great. My oldest has gone there for 4 years, going on 5.

Leigh F. replied:
We use the Children's Clinic in Oak Ridge for pediatricians. There are multiple doctors and PAs. Appointments are usually the same day if needed and they have weekend hours. We love Dr. Cheney. First Steps Child Development Center and Heritage preschool are both great child care options. Also, early head start is a free program for ages 6 weeks to 3.
Beth B. replied:
I second Dr. Cheney. He's great with my baby, and he's always patiently answered my new mom questions. He was even kind enough to hold his laughter the first time she got a cold and I showed up in a tizzy.
Rachael J. replied:
We just moved to the area and are on tenncare. I've called around in oak ridge and did not find a pediatrician accepting new Tenn care patients unless they are newborns. So I suggest looking into Knoxville.
Michelle S. replied:
I don't know if they take tenncare but they are awesome Kids Central Pediatrics.
Amanda W. replied:
Try Clinton pediatrics. They are great! And my middle child has autism and sensory processing disorder and he loves it there.
Elizabeth A. replied:
None of the dr. Mention here are accepting new tenncare patients but I found Powell pediatrics about 20 min from here and he has been excellent with my ASD child.
