We just had out deck built by Laurel Patrick with First Place Finish and they did an incredible job. Our deck is so lovely. It's a really big deck, about 800 sq. feet. We kept the design we had before and it came out great.

I used Mr. Handyman of Knoxville for my ceiling repair, he did a really good job (someone stepped in the wrong place in the attic and cracked it through. It was textured too so it had to be repaired, smoothed and then retextured to match.

That's pretty specialized work. Might call a few HVAC guys that are used to installing gas heating units (Steve Buck 406-3582, Scott Cook 388-1064 & Lynn Byrge 748-6906 spring to mind) or perhaps give an appliance place like Patterson's a shout as they often install gas appliances. Good luck!

You can look on the EPA website. https://www.epa.gov/radon/find-radon-test-kit-or-measurement-and-mitigation-professional It gives contact info too. My understanding is this part of the region doesn't typically have radon issues. It depends on the geology of the area, I believe.

We came from an area with high radon levels (Huntsville, Al). We did have to do remediation to sell our home. It was about $2000 and that was 10 years ago. I looked on my Angie's List and there is a company in Knoxville with high ratings. It's Indoor Air Quality Specialists 659-0390. If I remember correctly, the test itself was free from EPA. You must keep the windows closed to get a proper reading. Opening the windows lets the gas out.
