Hi Lake Neighbors...
Here is a poll question...please share any great referrals you have for any of the following:
1) Dentist you love and is great
2) GP Doctor you love...
1. Love Franklin dental. 2. I'm a kaiser patient. My GP is Dr. Nandi. Wonderful doctor and she listens to you. Some doctors just prescribe meds. She's the type who will figure it out and make you feel better. If you need a podiatrist, I can refer... I'm a regular podiatry patient.. hehe. 4. Dr. Lannett at Chiropractic Naturally. 5. Optometrist.. haven't had good experience with the Kaiser ones.. but I've had great experience with an ophthalmologist.

Dr Kimberly Butler at https://www.facebook.com/126942377458493Oakland Eco Dental. Best dentist I've ever had. Great chair side manner, never pushes for unneeded procedures, and she's super good at injecting Novocaine without hurting me. Plus she's pretty much in our neighborhood!

Harlan Wong has been my optometrist for many years. Nice guy, good service, just up the street from the Jazzschool, a block or two north of University on Shattuck.
Donna K. replied:
Rockridge Optometry as well. I've been seeing Scott Yokoi for 20+ years. Love the office.
June K. replied:
Cal Optometry School. Very thorough exams done by 3 rd year students, checked by profs. Easy free parking. You can also get your glasses right there.
Ellen H. replied:
(Hi Walter!) Oaktown is NOT too far for something NECESSARY (visit my daughter!) or WONDERFUL (go to a great concert!) or UNIQUE - or financially USEFUL - like having a good gig! But if i can find a good eye doc who is closer, that's seems like a good idea. Rockridge is a bit far. Cal Optometry School is close, as are some of the other suggestions.

Not in the area you desire, but inexpensive: Dr. Gary Hagan at Costco on Davis Street in San Leandro. Recommended by the Chief of Ophthalmology where I used to work ... when I was about to lose my optical benefits. He said he was consistently impressed with how thorough Dr. Hagan was. I paid $55 for the exam last year. (Trifocals Rx! Time flies when you're having fun.)
Oakland/Berekley friends, can you please give me your best Optometrist recommendations? Need to get my eyes checked and get some new glasses because Ms. Mizuki decided...
Farrah W. replied:
Dr Tanya gill Oakland optometry. She's a friend and excellent eye doctor.
Kristin G. replied:
Tim goes to Dr. Poon at 2020 optometry on college in Rockridge.
Christina C. replied:
I go to Dr. Kim at World Vision Optometry on Telegraph near 27 th. She's really sassy and nosy and really likes to get all up in your business a la 10 years ago convo while doing the glaucoma test: YOU'RE NOT MARRIED?!?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU??? YOU'RE BOYFRIEND IS NOT KOREAN???? WOWWWW to YOU HAD A BABY BUT YOU DIDN'T TELL ME????! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!?!??!? WOWWWW but I find her really entertaining and actually a great optometrist and a funny storyteller. If you go, tell her I sent u (although she will probably need/want refresher + updates)
