Cms Midwife . Yvonne delivered Ashley.. I loved her..she was awesome. They have several midwives though and would have enjoyed having anyone at my birth. The midwives rotate being on call so over the course of your pregnancy u meet each one..and so when ur baby decides to be born whoever is on call comes to the delivery. Their website is cmsmidwife.com

Dr. Steven Schlinke and Dr. Kayci Lewis are Mercy doctors who can deliver at Integris if that might work for you. Dr. Schlinke was positive about us using a doula and said he was flexible on positions, he did want to induce if I went past 42 weeks, but he wasn't going to force anything. He ended up out of town for our delivery, Dr. lewis was amazing- she let me push for almost 3 hours in a variety of positions and even suggested some to try. She was positive with our doula, and has had a natural childbirth herself. We delivered at baptist and they let us do everything on our birth plan.

Dr Hoda Maarouf. She's on the fourth floor of Baptist (Building A) and is amazing. I'm 22 weeks with my fourth and I just adore her. She's very much about it being YOUR birth. http://www.womenspreventivehealthcare.com/page_9.html

I love Dr Margaret Hall@Lakeside. She was wonderful! And the nurses were equally as robber fil.
Lysa B. replied:
I am a third for Dr. Maarouf. She will track your vitals after you're checked in so she's always in the know. She came to the hospital before the nurses called her because she saw my son's heart rate drop with each contraction. Dr. Nanda is great too, but I LOVE Dr. Maarouf.

Dr. Amanda Levine she is in Edmond and will deliver at Integris I believe. This is my 2 nd natural childbirth I'm due any time now. I have had a doula present both times and she has gone along with my birth plan. She will want to try and induce you if you go over 42 weeks but I haven't gone passed that! I love her! She takes her time with you at each appointment and by the end she's like a friend.

If I were to become a midwife, I'd go through Ancient Art Midwifery Institute first. You have many options though!

From my understanding Via Vita is reasonably priced and is approved by the Alaska Midwifery Council with the state which makes it accountable to a governing body. Another great source for direct entry midwifery education go to: MEAC.org There are several MEAC accredited programs and institutions and you can get lots of information from the web page.

Leanna Harkis at OU Midwives...I think the rest of the midwives are just as good but we have a friend that used her & loved her. Could possibly be who Kayla & Shawna used as well?
Alexa B. replied:
Christy Dawn Brown might be able to help you!
Shawna S. replied:
I used Dusty Pointer at OU Physicians during my pregnancy, met Leanna Harkess once during an appointment and Dawn Karlin delivered Rylee. You can't go wrong with any of the midwives there! I LOVED my experience through pregnancy and also through labor and delivery. I would highly recommend them!
Kayla B. replied:
Leanna Harkess or Dusty im not sure what her last name!
Can anyone in the area recommend a midwife for home delivery. (I'm not saying I'm doing it, I'm just saying that I'm exploring the idea).

I had a great experience with Community Midwifery Services out of Norman. They traveled up to OKC for my birth. As far as I know they are all CPMs now, the CNM left the practice but was still involved the last I heard
Jenn D. replied:
Anne Coffee is amazing! I don't think there are any CNMs around here who attend homebirth, but the OU midwives are CNMs.
