Looking for recommendations on equine vets that will make house calls up here.

You could try https://pacificcrestequine.com/ they are out of Exeter but come up every other Tuesday for reduced farm visit. I had trouble finding anyone until I called them. Only heard about Smith after setting appt, so I cant review them quite yet, but others did recommend them.

Pacific Crest Equine is excellent. We have been using them for years and they are great. Very knowledgeable staff and will go out of their way to be helpful. I would highly recommend them.

If you want to get a good vet with low rates, try Dr. Hatayama in Selma. His rates are very reasonable. Charged me $91.00 for a procedure that the vet in Clovis charged me over $300.00 for.
Kevin G. replied:
Dr. Patrick Smith makes house calls. He does good work but charges extra for travel into the foothills. 447-9644. B-) <3

Call my son-in-law, Louie, at the Feed Store (338-2729) - he will hook you up with Dr Dukes up here on the mountain.
Kevin G. replied:
The problem with Dr. Smith is he only comes up here if he has other appointments as well. And don't text because it shows that he has received your message when he has not. B-) <3
Donna C. replied:
Dr. Smith does and will come up. Came up just the other day for a sick cat and now, all is well. And kind to boot!

Dr Hatayama, South County Vet, in Selma. Good guy, low cost. Call to see if he does goats, he should as he has cattle. Wonder dust should work on the small stuff but that big one needs stitches.
