Good barber for fades? I know there's countless posts already for where to get a good haircut and I've tried quite a few of them but none of the ones suggested here have...

Haven’t lived in Omaha for a few years, but if Aaron is still around he does solid fades. Used to get my haircut by him every week. Google “Cosomo’s Barber Shop”.

Definitely Hairoglyfix. It’s a great barber shop I’ve been going to for years

If you wanna go to a salon with good fades there's this family owned salon just east of park ave and Leavenworth right across the street from that boost mobile store or something like that. All they do is fades pretty much and its like 12 bucks. Most of them only speak spanish or very little english but at least you can avoid small talk lol

I'm incredibly picky and it took me forever to find a good place when I moved here. Alliance Barbershop on 26 th(?) and St. Mary's is easily the best I've found in Omaha

If you're willing to drive out to Bellevue I highly recommend Four Star Barbershop. Headz Academy is very good as well.
Any recommendations for an old timey barber shop in Omaha? I'm wanting to switch from the chain hair cut shops and find an old style men's barber. ya know the one, shave...

The Beard and Mane on 22 nd and Saint Mary. It's a sweet barbershop and the owner does Gentleman's Haircuts, Old Fashioned Straight Razor Shaves, Beard & Mustache Trims, and Scalp Massages and Hot Towel Facials. Also he has free coffee, soda, beer in the fridge, a ton of sweet books, and an actual atari hooked up to a tv. Only fifteen bucks for a cut too. Edit: here's the website. Also, the only downside is he has limited hours and takes no appointments. http://www.beardandmane.com/

Another good one (aside from Beard and Mane) is Kiewit Plaza Barber Shop. I've never had a better shave, and the haircuts are good as well.

Willabee's in Old Towne Bellevue. Straight razor shave and awesome haircuts.

Not sure about the shaves, but Jimmy Gentile's near 36 th and Center is very old timey. No appointments, cash only, he's been cutting hair for years. I do believe that he is closed on Wednesdays. He still gives my nearly 35 year old husband the kids rate.

Dundee Barber Shop on 50 th and Dodge is a good one too. Unless you are afraid of clowns.

There was a food one that I used to go to in downtown Papillon when I used to live there, as well as another one my dad went to around 84 th & Giles iirc.

While not technically Omaha, the [Papillion Barbers](http://pics3.city-data.com/businesses/p/3/8/4/4/6693844.JPG) in downtown Papillion on 84 th and 1 st street is great. Always get a good haircut and friendly service.

Chop Shop Barber on 78 th and pacific is great, fast service, great cut. Also protip, a lot of the shops are probably only gonna take cash, so make sure you bring some.

Jennifer asks: My son doesn't like his haircut, great grandpa was doing it, but now is retired. Anyone know a kid friendly barber?

We've gone to Family Fun Cutz LLC on 145 th & Center. It's expensive, but I guess for us it is worth it. The kids get to pick a movie to watch while they are getting their hair cut and they get to sit on/in a fun vehicle. For them, haircuts are something to look forward to, so it is always a positive experience and haircuts aren't something they (or mama) dread.
