Suggestions on best tattoo artist/shop in town? Must be good with color and detail. Aaaaaaaaaaand....... GO!
swordofBarsoom replied:
Any of the artists at Liquid Courage/Sailor's Grave and Tenth Sanctum will be excellent with line, detail, and color. What I would recommend is perusing the artist portfolios at the shops and checking out shop and artist instagrams to see which artist will have a style most fitting for what you want in a tattoo.
DickJuggle replied:
First and foremost, I would hope any tattoo artist aspires to be good with color and detail seeing as that's about 99.9 and 9/9% of what their medium is. Secondly, I will hands down recommend anyone at Liquid Courage (and by relation, Sailors Grave) as well as Tenth Sanctum. Every artist has specific styles they may prefer to do or do better than others, so if you want to dish out some more details on what your tattoo idea is, I'd be more than willing to lend my advice as someone who has been tattooed, literally, a metric fuckton of times. Or search tattoo in this sub and read what I've posted when answering this question 10 other times.

Jesse at Nuclear Ink does some fantastic work. It's a little pricier, but you can rest assured that you're not going to get a dumpster fire permanently on your skin (unless, of course you literally want a picture of a dumpster fire).

Whatever you do look through pics of tattoos they have done. If they look crappy go somewhere else. Most artists have Facebook pages and you can see what the can do. Liquid Courage in Omaha is a custom shop and do great work. There is generally a waiting list but sometimes can get you in sooner.

Lisa W. replied:
At Omaha children's clinic we use a piercing gun with a surgical grade plastic earring , everything that touches the patient is disposable therefore completely sterile. We use the plastic so as not to sensitize them to the metal. I find this works particularly well and kids have not tolerated ear piercing before, we do not use a needle as the piercing parlors do use I know there's an argument that these heal better and is overall a better technique as there is no crush injury to the tissue. We do piercing at the cost of the earrings it is not anything that is profitable for us it is just a service I provide as I have seen many kids with metal allergy and have that made worse by ear piercing . If you have any questions feel free to call the office at 402-330-5690 or you can message me via Facebook.

We just had my daughters ears pierced at Liquid Courage too. last month. the guy was super nice. measured each ear and marked where he wanted it and had me look to to make sure they were even. they don't take appointments for piercing, so get there early, or be prepared to wait. we had to wait about an hour.

I'm currently getting work done at Viking Tattoo just north of Center on 120 th. Good prices. For a simple design, you can go pretty much anywhere. Might just do a Google search for what's close and check out their work first.

I've been to Rawhide and worked with Jaime and she's awesome and good, very affordable. On the higher end, I've also been to Nuclear Ink, and Jesse is probably one of the best around! His line work is impeccable and he is very dedicated to making a great piece of work. A little pricey, but you will see the difference. Both also offered free touch-ups. Not sure what others are about..
