We see Dr. Matt at Smile Station too. My five year old is terrified of going to the dentist but after 10-15 minutes, the staff is able to calm him. They have a tell, show, do approach that works really well with nervous kids because they know exactly what will happen. Plus the entire building is designed to cater to children. Love them!
Jen S. replied:
dr. Dana Carmen is amazing. 129 and center. She is above and beyond friendly to the kids and parents. Great staff too. No floride.

I've never asked about fluoride with Dr. Matt, but they seem pretty open to whatever's best for parent and child.

We see Dr. Bryan at Smile Station and I can just not say enough good things about the entire place. My son loves going there.
Angela C. replied:
I'm sorry this is against the vibe here but we do do fluoride. We weighed the risks and decided it was worth it. I'm curious if any anti-fluoride proponents here are experiencing cavities with their kids. My kid had a cavity pop up a few months after we tried fluoride free. I consider myself a natural based parent but rely on modern medicine when it's logical. We LOVE Jane Bennett at Papillion pediatric dentistry.

I do agree that Dr. Lisa Strunk is good, but honestly the wait time AFTER they take the little one back to the dentist chair is waaaaay to long for me. Having a child sit for 30-45 minutes is too much. And if you're like me & take all the kids at once ...See More

Wow, I am really shocked to hear this about Dr. Kotil. Aron B. replied:
we see Dr Seiler because he was the only one who took our insurance and doesn't use a craddle board regularly. We have a very very dentist-shy child. He still doesn't like going to the dentist, but atleast Dr Seiler pays attention to his needs. http://www.dds4 kidz.com/

I love Dr. Jane Bennett at Papillion Pediatric Dentistry. We lived in Omaha and went to her, Oldest LOVES the dentist, middle child GAGS at the thought of brushing his teeth let alone the actual act and the youngest didn't care either way. We moved an hour away and I still take my kids there. The receptionist, Maggie, is amazing as well. We have a great dental plan for my oldest (poor thing, inherited Dad's family trait of crooked teeth!) and the kids love the decor. http://www.papillionpediatricdentistry.com/

We recently had a bunch of work done with Dr. Hohenstein. It went well and he was very nice. My daughter has decided she wants a girl dentist though so we might be changing. ;)
Jennifer P. replied:
We see Dr. Hohenstein too. My kids LOVE it. Many ped dentists refuse to have parents go back w/ the kids and that wasn't going to happen w/ us. I go back for cleanings and cavities and Ilana's first appt was done w/ her laying on mine and his lap, no chair involved. The kids love it.
Brenda V. replied:
We also see Dr Bennett in Papillon:) Her whole staff is great and my kids love the coin they get at the end that they can use in the machine to get a little prize!

Dr Cindy Russell, 50 th and Leavenworth. She's not pediatric only, does all ages. She's REALLY good with kids. When George was little she let him climb all over the chair and play with all the toys she has in the rm while I was getting my teeth worked on, so he would get more comfortable with the idea of the dentist. http://local.yahoo.com/info-18041299-russell-cynthia-c-dds-omaha
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good pediatric dentist in the area? Thanks in advance!

Anne Aiello Address: 119 N 51 st St #400, Omaha, NE 68132 Phone: (402) 554-1600 My girls went when they were toddlers until their 20's.
Melissa L. replied:
For us it is totally worth the drive to Smile Station. They are really professional and compassionate. They also offer an on-call service after hours and on weekends, which, we learned the hard way, can be invaluable when your kid gets hurt on a weekend and your current dentist has no instructions whatsoever for emergencies on their after-hours voicemail. Smile Station called us right back on a Saturday, even though we weren't yet patients, and helped us get to the right hospital and set up a follow-up appointment with one of their dentists the following Monday. Can't recommend highly enough! https://m.facebook.com/smilestationpediatricdentistry/?tsid=0.44646495720371604&source=typeahead

Jenessa C. replied:
Smile Station is wonderful!
Courtney M. replied:
I'm going against the flow here on Smile Station. We had a terrible visit there. The denitst told us my son had over 5 cavites and that he needed amost every tooth sealed. The bill was going to be over $1200 with insurance. I thankfully trusted my mommy instinct and took him elsewhere for a second opinion. So glad I did because they said he has only 1 small cavity and didn't suggest sealing all his teeth. We ended up at Bellevue Pediatric Dentistry. LOVE LOVE LOVE love her!! Such a friendly staff too!
Kami S. replied:
Walnut creek pediatric is where my 2, 4, and 6 year old go! Dr. Barry started seeing our youngest when she was 1! It is open in the back so if you have multiple kids at the same time you dont have to be in other rooms!! They also use laughing gas for fillings and dr. Barrys choice of words to use when he fills cavities are great (ie. Give your yeeth a drink of water- shot, brushing your tooth- drilling out cavity)
