Looking for bargain shopping Does anyone know of some good neighborhoods or stores with really good deals on clothes, home decor, accessories, shoes, etc. Preferably not...

[Big Lots](https://www.google.com/#q=big%20 lots%20 st%20 louis) is a chain here that has good deals on furniture and household goods and sundries. If you don't mind slightly used, you can get nice children's clothes at [Once Upon a Child](http://www.onceuponachild.com/) (several locations in St Louis). It is not consignment, more like people bring their clothes in and are given cash, then the store resells them. [At Home](http://www.athome.com/) (Gravois Bluffs and St Chas Rock Road) has good deals on nice seasonal stuff, patio furniture, rugs, kitchenware, paintings, and linens. There are usually a couple of tables of books and nurses scrubs as well as some luggage.

If you don't hate the idea of used, Scholar Shop is amazing (both locations). They're only good for clothes and shoes but a ton of stuff still has tags, or is super nice very expensive stuff.
Does anyone have suggestions for a place to get new running shoes in Omaha? I would love to go somewhere with knowledgeable staff who can help me make a good decision.

Peak Performance is really great!

I agree with everyone Peak Performance is the best. I had a really bad shoe experience when I started running 5 years ago and they were so knowledgeable and hands down best customer service.
Angela H. replied:
I was fitted with the wrong size shoes at Peak Performance. After having all kinds of feet problems and a running analysis done, I was advised that I had the wrong size shoes. I then went to Scheels and bought new shoes. No more foot problems.

Stride Rite closed, but that was my go to. We've had luck at Payless with their wide selection. We're just holding out until Top To Bottom starts carrying Stride Rite in a month or two.

I haven't been to the store in awhile so it is possible, that would be a bummer. I typically order online now. Von Maur carries the stride rite brand and definitely does shoe fittings (it's the last place I got my son fitted and purchased stride rite shoes for my toddler). I believe Dillard's may carry the brand too. -Margo
