They're all over the place. There's gotta be one within a block or two of your apartment. Check your laundromat even. If you can't find one by walking around for 5 minutes, I'd be surprised. Quality isn't going to really differ much unless you're doing major alterations. If your alterations are gonna involve buttons, ask them what they're gonna do with em. But I think Uniqlo has in-house tailors, and it's free. So maybe you should have done that.

I get a lot of shit altered. I would recommend against going to random places. Shortening sleeves is a pretty easy alteration if the button holes on the sleeve vents aren't functional (you can unbutton them) If it's uniqlo they most likely aren't functional. If they are function, then it's going to be more complicated/expensive. Shortening a hem is most likely going to be the more expensive of the two alterations, especially if there are back or side vents. That being said, my tailor adele is fairly priced and does good work. He's not on the UWS but I think he's worth a visit. 1 W 34 th St; 6 th floor Good Luck!

Will Styles down on 35 th and Center. He does a lot of wedding alterations but my parents have been taking their regular clothing tailor needs to him for years. He's wonderfully talented and his work is perfect.

Diane's Tailoring, it's in Papillion and has short hours, but she has done a dress for me and it seems that she has good knowledge of fabric and cuts and things.
