For local resources I would hit A/R Salvage and Habitat ReStore. For national resources I would go to Old House Journal online and look under their resources section.

I've tinted all my vehicles at Auto Glass Tint at 88 th and L. They have always done a great job and the quality is outstanding. They even installed 7% on my vehicle when I was 16 and thought I was pretty cool...

Hot Rod PDR on 87 th and I street. Best in town. I've had 5 cars done there. They are brothers who own it and have an absolute attention to detail. Perfect job each time.

For undercoating I've heard you don't want anything solid or impermeable because it will be compromised by road debris, and that lets salt and brine get in contact with your frame and start rusting it out. The great part of all that is that the undercoat hides this from you so you can't correct it before it becomes a big issue. Krown or Fluid Film are the way to go. They're a thick oily film that keeps rust to a minimum but application is messy and has to be repeated every fall. I got a kit from Kellsport and a gallon should last you 2-4 years: http://kellsportproducts.com/fluidfilmkits.html Works great for me.

Graphics Plus. Hands down. My family has been taking our cars there for years and years and he is a family friend. He has done my Cobra, old Corvette, all my daily drivers over the years, and many of my parents cars. He does it all, even works around a roll cage if the need arises haha. Ask for Eric, tell him Adrian sent you.

Viking Glass downtown is pretty good. My car got broken into and they busted my driver side window, they put the tint on for free if I bought the window. It was only $90 for it all. They did a great job on the tint.
Does anyone know of some who fixes weighted windows with a rope that pulls it up. I have one window window that won't pull up.
John B. replied:
Call Ideal Hardware. They specialize in window restoration. Those weights are really cool but working with the weight, pullies, rope PLUS I think you have to "pop" the guard slat off to get at it makes it kind of a bear for one person to deal with. Best of luck, CONGRATS! AND WELL DONE! for your preservation-ist work on that house!
