We recently found out that we will be moving to the Oneonta area for my husband's job with the State Police. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good pediatrician...
Charity A. replied:
I don't have a pediatrician but I can say that Dr. Mary Ellen Hoffman at Oneonta Family Practice is an amazing family doctor! She listens, takes her time, and we haven't had to wait longer than 10 minutes. She is wonderful!!
Terri B. replied:
We use Child and Adolescents healthcare at the Fox Care Center. We love all the docs there. Our main pediatrician is Dr. Tannebaum, but like Cara McKernan Caseman stated above, we have seen all the docs in the office including, Dr. Chan-House.
Becci C. replied:
Yes, we take our kids to Child and Adolescents Healthcare as Terri mentioned above. We made the switch a little over a year ago and we love them! Dr. Tannenbaum and Dr. Chan-House are our kids docs. I have been very pleased with the office staff as well.
Lyla B. replied:
Welcome to Oneonta!!Dr. Brane Or Dr. Mooney at Bassett Healthcare in Oneonta are fabulous. Toddler care, Main St Baptist has a great nursery/pre-k program or Little Lambs is a great program also. Good luck in your search and move!!
Kristin P. replied:
Dr. Tarricone with UHS on River Street.
Heather G. replied:
Welcome to Oneonta! My kids see Dr. Brane at Bassett Pediatrics on Main Street and she's great. If you're on maternity leave for a little while we'd love to have you come out to our meetings. We meet the 1 st & 3 rd Wednesdays of the month at Main Street Baptist Church. Childcare is available and the moms have a great time hanging out, eating, listening to special speakers and discussing what we've learned! Would love to have you come out sometime.
Cara C. replied:
My son goes to Fox Pediatrics. His main pediatrician is Dr. Chan-House but he's seen several different doctors if he's sick and she's not in and I love them all
Jessica W. replied:
I also really like Dr. Chan-House at Fox Pediatrics. I've heard good things about Little Lambs, and mixed things about Bugbee. But Springbrook has a great full day pre-school called "Kids Unlimited", and I think they have before and after school care. Babysiiters are also relatively affordable here. I found some great ones at care.com.
Does anyone know of a good pediatrician other than fox or UHS? We are at Fox now but looking to change and UHS is no longer taking accepting patients at this time..
Tara F. replied:
125 Main Street Bassett!! Dr.Brane she is the best!
Cara M. replied:
Dr. Mooney at 125 main street Bassett has been our pediatrician since Ryan was born. She and the nurses there are awesome!
Ashley N. replied:
Did you try Dr Jayasena? UHS Sidney
Amber M. replied:
Dr Cannon at Bassett is our pediatrician and he's great
Michelle P. replied:
That stinks that Dr Nick isn't taking new patients... He is the best! Good luck Britney Frank ... We pulled our kids from Bassett and Fox care...
Cassie M. replied:
Dr Jay in sidney is taking patients. He's awesome. He's my kids pediatrician
Tesha L. replied:
Phoebe Reed, Lisa Mooney and Dr.Cannon 125 main. Do not go to Blasco whatever you do. William had strep for 3 weeks because she refused to believe he had strep even though the tests came back that he was possitive for it. Dr.Cannon is the one who actually set us straight with antibiotics and couldn't believe what she had done. Dr.Reed is who their primary is and she is amazing.
Judith S. replied:
Dr. Beaudet or something like at at 125 main street, awesome. the twins had her. beth beaudet
Michele M. replied:
I agree with Robert Ackerley ...Dr Jay is awesome...jayasena I think that's the full last name.
