This horse may be a lot older than 9, going by the length of the teeth. You can tell their age by their teeth if you care to look it up online, but you need to look at the biting surface and side angle as well. My horses are both much older than 9 and only the 20 year old has teeth that look this long from a front view. Perhaps it's just exaggerated perspective in the photo but it seems like something worth double checking. People selling horses without papers lie about their age all the time, typically trying to offload teen and senior horses. http://www.localriding.com/horses-age.html
