Of course there all the touristy stuff like Disney World and Universal Orlando but also: Wanna be fancy? [The Wine Room.](http://www.thewineroomonline.com/) Want to go to a classy establishment? [Hanson's Shoe Repair](http://www.hansonsshoerepair.com/). Feeling adventurous? [Wekiwa Springs/Rock Springs](http://www.floridastateparks.org/wekiwasprings/). And I can always give people the hookup with delicious food.

Wake up, go to Boulevard and get a free tour ticket, order takeout for Oklahoma Joe's BBQ, pick up BBQ, get excited you're in a different state, then realize it's just Kansas and calm down, picnic with food in Loose Park, go back to Boulevard and take a tour of the brewery and get your free samples, go to the WWI museum but only buy a ticket for the tower, go up the tower and admire the downtown cityscape view, go to Westport for merriment, and then to Town Topic for tipsy diner malt shakes. Kansas City, MO

I can’t believe no one has said Lineage Coffee Roasting. So incredibly good. 4 years ago I searched for any good coffee in Orlando and Lineage was the only bright spot back then.

In Fort Lauderdale... Brew Next Door. It located inside/attached to C&I Studio (a commercial photography & video studio). I say this because if you decide to go... you'll question if you are in the right place. Awesome coffee. It's not on any main strip. You would never stumble across this place... you have to know it's there to find it.

Craft coffee in downtown Orlando deeply coffee is about 5 blocks from it also in downtown

Orlando, you need to hit up lineage coffee, they have two locations and are a local roaster as well. They do a phenomenal pour over (v60) as well as great esspresso. If you are willing to head more east to the UCF area VSPR coffee located in the waterford lake town center does an amazing job as well. I lived in Orlando for 7 years and I miss both those places so much since moving.

Stop at any Cuban place and have a cafecito, and in Key West go to Cuban Coffee Queen.

Wells Coffee in Fort Lauderdale or Switchbox roasters about 15 minutes north in Oakland Park

Lineage is great. I use their Modern American for espresso at home and it's the best I've ever had. If you're near the Oviedo area (or UCF), try out Duo58. It's a great little shop with amazing coffee.

Now the Florida coffee scene’s culture is a bit darker roast than I like, maybe the Cuban coffee influence as some wild speculation? The “Florida styled” roaster I liked best was Great Circle, when I tried them a year or so ago, they knocked a handful of Central Americans and East Africans out of the park. But I put my neck on the block for Switchbox in Fort Lauderdale. They never disappoint me and they often surprise me. Any friend or family member within 100 miles of that place has to bring me back a bag or two. Their current Burundi offering hits me right in the personal preferences!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm going to sift through everything and make some kind of plan once I'm down there. Very few options for quality coffee where I am from so I will definitely get my fill before the trip is over.

Curly’s coffee stand before Marathon I think. Small but if you need coffee on the way. In Key West hit up Red Bouy in Glazed Donuts. This is a must stop. Don’t bother with the roaster before Key West. They have no idea what they are doing. lol.

Lineage is hands down the best coffee shop in Orlando. They're a REAL craft coffee shop, others seem to have more of a facade. Lineage is the only place I go and actually pay someone else to make me coffee bc they're the only place that has good QC and is worth the money.

Lineage in Orlando. Ft Lauderdale area: Mane Coffee in Boca is the best shop on the east coast of Florida. They were nominated for best new coffee shop by sprudge last year. Switchbox Coffee is amazing. Wells coffee is an awesome newer roaster and their location is beautiful. Miami: All Day cafe is my favorite for Miami and they do awesome breakfast as well. Vice City Bean. Panther Coffee is the OG and worth checking out especially their locations outside of Wynwood. White Rose Coffee is great and you can get a local roaster called Perla there. Blue Bottle is always solid. Honestly if you want to try Cuban coffee for the cultural aspect of it go for it but if you are wanting great specialty coffee I would stay away. It is very harsh, burnt, and stale and I don’t understand how they fit so much sugar into one little drink. Edit: Some others to mention if you happen to be in the areas: Gilbert’s Coffee Bar in Stuart. And Pumphouse Coffee in West Palm Beach.

I live in Key West and we’re blessed with Cuban Coffee down here! Baby’s Coffee is basically the “southernmost coffee roaster”, and they’re not bad. It’s a neat little shack to stop by on your way down and pick up some merch and a cup. In Key West itself the safest choice is Cuban Coffee Queen or a place called Glazed Donuts (they have their own coffee called Red Buoy Coffee). You can be adventurous and explore some of the smaller local Cuban coffee shops, just brush up on your Spanish before you go!
