Heather w/ Think Alpha Dog is great! If you adopted the pet from Orange County Animal Services, some trainers give discounts to benefit new adopters. There's a flyer at the shelter and I'm sure they could tell you more.

I highly recommend University of Doglando over on the east side of town (near Colonial and Woodbury). They are a little pricey (at least if you compare to the petsmart rates) but well worth the $. Especially if you have a dog that is aggressive. That could be dangerous for a person or other dog if it doesn't get in check.

I have lived in several states; Montana, California, Georgia, Louisiana and Oklahoma. All of our dogs are obediance trained by us at AKC club classes in the local area. Going rate has been $75 -$95 for 9 1 hour lessons. Our first dog got her Canine Good Citizen, Agility training, Advanced Obedience and Therapy dog certification. Total investment in one dog about $400. and our time.

Look through the comments, she posted a detailed flyer for Therapy Dog training for $5000, that is what bothered me about the training. I truly hope it is not a trainer that does not know the difference in a Therapy verses a Service animal!!!
