I've had a couple good doctors, and a couple that were clearly not interested in helping me and just told me I had no problem. A friend's friend was told, after hurting his leg, that he had gout... So, it's can be kind of a toss-up as to what your experience will be.

Dr. Fukumaru in Shinsaibashi is a good doctor. He has good English, and he seems to handle the various patients well. I think the clinic is closed today, because it is a national holiday. It should be open tomorrow and saturday. I have been a patient here about six years or so. My healthplan reimburses the doctor's fee after I see the doctor. I pay in full and then am reimbursed. The bill is usually 6,000 to 8,000 yen for one visit. I hope this helps.

This happened to me before and I was able it get my files back with a downloaded software program. In the end i had to pay to fully recover the files, but it was worth it. Dr Iwasaki at Anshin Clinic on Kobe, Rokko Island. Great English, diagnosed my ACL tear and performed the surgery. Now back to playing footy and normal life - 5 star recommendation

Dr. Horibe at Ryosai Hospital (near Shin Kanaoka station I believe). Saw him a few years ago when I thought I had retorn my ACL. Worked/studied in California and was up on latest techniques (grafts, etc). I would have trusted him with surgery if needed. You're supposed to have a referral but I blagged my way in. He had drop in hours on Mondays 8-10. Best of luck.

If you don't have health insurance you should get it and get an MRI. I tried rehab for about 6 months, didn't take, my pain was severe though, I had surgery at Osakafu Saiseikai Noe Hospital, herniated disc, all Japanese language though, after surgery pain free for the past year and a half.

I went (25 years ago) to Kansai Medical University Medical Center (06-6992-1001) near Takaii Station on the Keihan line. I don't know if he is still there but Dr. Minamikawa first saw me. He is actually a hand surgeon but he trained in the States for a bit so speaks great English. He can see you and order an MRI which will tell if you have a herniated disc. He examined me for my herniated disc and I had to have surgery. I wouldn't let any doctor or chiropractor do any kind of massage or whatever to you until you get an MRI otherwise it can make it worse.

First time I heard about Rosai Hoken, is the blue health card? I checked and treated my broken shoulder two years ago in a place near Asashiobashi station. The doctor speaks English. They do the x-ray there and they may do more. I saw Dr. Kawamura Sadahito at Kawamura clinic/hospital and I also saw Dr. Takeshi Sugimoto for a follow-up. I hope this helps. I was treated at Tane Hospital near Taisho Station for a Rosai related accident. As far as I know though, you should be able to go to any big hospital.
