If you want to stay in a love hotel a really cool one is Hotel Fuki. An old retro hotel in Kyobashi. The smaller rooms are 5,200 a night. I like room 305. www.hotelfuki.jp The smaller rooms will probably be available, the larger rooms are usually booked on weekends. Below is a SFW video that shows some of the larger rooms but it also shows how cool this hotel is. http://www.playboy.com/videos/rare-glimpse-inside-hotel-fuki-osaka

for Tokyo, Conrad has a pretty good view if you get a bayside view room, you'd be looking directly down into Hamarikyu gardens and to the left would be the Tsukiji inner market building. and straight ahead in the background is Rainbow Bridge. There’s an APA near Dotonburi that’s pretty cheap. I find a lot of places in Japan fill up early.

I personally booked this hotel - RIHGA Nakanoshima Inn, it $70/night and atm Agoda has rooms ava for those dates above. Breakfast is like a western/japanese small buffet version: [Western](https://imgur.com/H0SDlCZ) edit: on the hotel corner, there a train station (staircases). And if you have luggage, there an elevator to the same station in the opposite direction.
noposers replied:
APA and Sarasa are cheapish biz hotels in the area. If you don't mind spending a little more, Cross Hotel is my preferred stay around Namba. There's also capsule hotel asahi plaza near amerikamura for some real dirt cheap sleep.
Good morning everyone !
Just asking if anyone knows a good place to stay & if possible cheap . My sister will be coming to Osaka next year March with 4 other friends ....

Recommendations for a hotel with mixed-sex hot spring in Osaka? Hi everyone,
So I'm trying to find a hotel in Osaka (preferably near Dotonbori) that has a nice hot...

What you're looking for doesn't exist.
Onsen are, by nature, something done in the nude. Women can sometimes wear a provided cover-up towel in mixed onsen, but they are rarely provided by the onsen or hotel as it's expected that you go in nude. Gender segregated onsen are generally 100% nude, no exceptions.
Mixed gender onsen are also a rarity due to changing cultural norms and some past high profile incidents with sexual activity in a few public/"secret" onsen a few years back (ie: [this incident](https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2015/06/08/national/tochigi-mixed-bath-onsen-forced-close-group-sex-rumors/#.WgaYmltL-os) is one that comes to mind). Many places have converted their mixed onsen into gender segregated ones.
If you must do the onsen experience, you'll have to split up or be nude together.
However, you should also know that the places that do have mixed onsen are generally older ryokan in remote areas. They won't be in Dotonbori.
Adderkleet replied:
It might be best to find a small ryokan that allows you to rent/reserve a tub/onsen. Usually, that means a very early-morning bath. But it also means nobody else around (so you can wear clothes and no one would know).
nomusicnolife replied:
Check out Spa World. It's near Namba. http://www.spaworld.co.jp/english/swimming-area.html
marvelousmoopy replied:
I don't think there is a hot spring in the city. Sometimes there are bath houses called Sento, it's a public place with hot tubs (not hot spring water) and everyone is naked, separated by gender. You will need to travel out to find hot springs. If you stay in a ryokan some of them allow you to book an hour of their hot spring all to yourself.

I can't speak to staying in Namba, because I've never done that. I *always* stay close to Osaka Station/Umeda. I've stayed at the Hotel Hankyu International and The Hotel Granvia Osaka. (I know neither were on your list, but they are both awesome if you are looking for more options.) The Hankyu was a few minutes' walk from Osaka Station and the Granvia is literally *in* Osaka Station. It was amazing to be able to just take the elevator downstairs from the Granvia and be able to hop on a train to Shin-Osaka for the shinkansen.
After many stays in Japan, I've found there's nothing better for me (personally) than being as close to a major train station as possible. I know other people like different things, though, so that's just me.

I'm interested in what people have to say. I booked 3 nights at the Hotel Vista Grande mainly because of location, but I'm having second thoughts. It's nearly double the price of some hotels still near Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi, and the reviews are pretty mediocre aside from location.
zoglog replied:
I stayed at vista grande last year. Liked it a lot. This year I booked the toyoko inn at nipponbashi. Namba is the place to be. Anywhere around there is good. If you're tired after a day of activity make sure to visit spaworld near the tower in the South.
superboins replied:
The Swissotel, always! Namba is super fun for nightlife and eating. Plus you're near Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi, Ame-mura, Kuromon Market, Sennichimae Doguyasuji, Den-Den Town, Shinsekai... Also just jump on the Midosuji line (5 minute walk) to Shin-Osaka for the Shinkansen. I say ball out! Ask for a High floor: http://imgur.com/qhLigG3
