If you are looking for a pediatric dentist the BEST to go to is Haley White in Wilmington. She is opening an office in Jacksonville in a couple of months too!

Anderson Slack is NOT a Pediatric Dentist.. They see children but it's more general.

We are at Lejeune:) We live in Richlands, and it's wonderful! It takes my husband 20-25 minutes to get to work, so not bad at all. The community is quiet and safe. My son goes through the county pre-k program and it's been really great so far. Richlands Primary school has pre-k held there I believe. We lived in base house for a year, and couldn't wait to move out. In our time there, we had a ton of problems with the staff and our neighbors. It's not worth forfeiting all of the BAH when you can get something so much better out in town. For dentists, I strongly recommend Armstrong & Tant. They are amazing and also see children there.

we were stationed there for 5 years and I was a realtor for 3 of those years. I had teenagers and they went to White Oak HS, so I don't know much about preschools or schools other than what I heard from clients. People do like Richlands schools and Richlands is a quiet area. Look at www.militarybyowner.com for rentals... not only does it have rentals from owners but property management companies also list on there as well. I heard time and time again about an apartment complex off of Gum Branch Rd. by Pizza Hut having numerous problems with car break ins, etc. Everybody can weigh in with their opinions, but everyones idea of "safe" is different, so it's best to check out areas yourself!

Dr Anderson and Slack is a great dentist and they are located in Office Park by the mall. I'm not sure about off base places to live because we living on base! But, again we LOVE Anderson and Slack!

We lived in NC for 8 years and really liked Brookstone off of Rocky Run. Close to base and little traffic once you get off base. Dr. Wilson is a great family dentist. He will do only what needs to be done and nothing more. He has arcade games (free) in his waiting room which the kids love.

There is a local site that is a great resource for moms and even hasa special section for military mommies - it's www.crystalcoastmommies.com I highly recommend it :)

Morgan went to the Art and Music for 4-6 year olds and Lexie went to Science Explosion for 7-11 year olds. Lexie really liked her and got to dissect a crayfish and grasshopper. Morgan was cute and she really had fun making the art.
