For summer camp and drop in playground information check out the Parks and Recreation Summer Brochure. It's is on line at www.cityofelgin.org or you can pick up a copy at many city facilities. A wide variety of camps are offered as we'll and drop in playground locations with the lunch program at 5 different park sites throughout town.

Check out Camp Commotion at www.ccclife.org at Christ Community church in St Charles. I believe they have scholarships available or a "tuition assistance" program if you need that. I would call their main office in St Charles to find out.

I encourage you to visit the YMCA on McLean Blvd in Elgin. They have day camps throughout the summer, but also a residence camp in East Troy, WI. I have several friends who attended and worked there and many friends with whom I worked in the camping field who send their children there. Camp Manitowa in Benton, IL, is another camp that was recommended to me by a former camp friend. Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, WI, is a great church camp experience. Sorry you didn't ask this question last week... Harper College just hosted a camp information day last weekend. Last, but also important, check the ACA (American Camping Association) website for camp information. You might find camps more tailored to find your childrens' likes/needs.
